Tyreke Evans 2017-2018 Outlook

Recommended Posts

I did my research and it's probably an Intercostal muscle strain

It takes anywhere between 2-12 weeks to heal, depending on severity

let's hope I'm wrong

An MRI on Tyreke Evans' ribcage revealed slight cartilage damage, but he's considered day-to-day.

He's already been ruled out of Monday's contest vs. Boston, but he dodged a bullet here. "We're not expecting it to be a long absence," coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. "He's had this injury before. So we expect to see him back soon."

Grizzlies’ leading scorer Tyreke Evans will miss his third consecutive game with a rib injury he sustained late in Friday’s loss to Cleveland. Evans’ MRI in Miami on Sunday revealed slight cartilage damage, but he participated in shooting and conditioning drills after Tuesday’s practice for the first time since the injury. Evans is considered day-to-day, and interim coach J.B. Bickerstaff indicated on Tuesday that his return to the lineup will be determined by the level of pain tolerance Evans is able to play through.

Weird season.

Evans--and the Grizzlies--have found so many ways to keep him off the floor recently.

It seems like he rarely plays.

I agree - and with the recent comments from Gasol regarding their play, i don't see Evans or Gasol playing much down the stretch

Good to see.... Hopefully he's back for Monday

Yea back Monday hopefully...

Then I wouldn't be surprised if he misses the next two games because his cat died or something...

Good to see that trading Jabari for Evans hoping Evans will help me by playing more games in the playoffs is paying out...

This is the same team that had Mike Conley do things 10x as intense as this, only to shut him down.

Grizz is in a tank race with about 8 other teams. I'd expect the worse and hope for the best.

This is depressing. I think I got to drop him for Rondo or Mirotic. Playoffs start on Monday and I can handle the lack of info on his return date
