wonder if he gets a couple of days off against the yanks???

i almost doubt it...as they will have a few days off before game 1 of alds

he will play sparingly    like spring season games.   2 starts.   16-18 innings at most

And so he did.

Keep in mind that Burks and Walker played their home games at Coors. Mookie did all this while missing time....

This might be the most impressive stat: his current bWAR of 10.8 is the highest bWAR by a position player since Bonds had a 11.8 bWAR in 2002...

He's currently ranked 22nd on the all time single season bWAR by a position player list. Ted Williams' career high bWAR was 10.9 so Mookie has a shot at passing him on that list as well. (Here's the full list: https://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/WAR_bat_season.shtml)

When it comes to fWAR, he still has a shot at the highest fWAR since 2004. His current fWAR of 10.1 ties Trout's 2013 season.

And all this despite missing games...

What. A. Season.

His final regular season numbers (136 Games Played):

10.2 fWAR, the highest fWAR by a position player in the Majors since Bonds in 2004.

10.9 bWAR, the highest bWAR by a position player in the Majors since Bonds in 2002.

2nd best bWAR in Boston Red Sox history, tying Ted Williams, behind only Yastrzemski.

21st best bWAR by a position player in Major League history.

.346 AVG, leading the Majors.

129 Runs, leading the Majors.

.449 wOBA, leading the Majors.

84 XBH, leading the Majors.

.640 SLG, leading the Majors.

Mike Trout is an amazing player but Mookie just had a better season than Trout has ever had so far in his career. That's hard to believe….

This is your 2018 AL MVP.

which betts shows up this year? I am sure this is an unpopular opinion but it is certainty possible he hits 260 again like 2017.
