Pack 15lbs of muscle on him and we could have the second coming of Ben Wallace with a better touch, 'fro and all!

Lol that’s like an insult cause Ben had zero footwork at all on the offensive end. The defense and rebounding is definitely a compliment though.

What is this guys value ROS? Top-50? Top-70?

It annoys the heck out of me that Kenny Atkinson didn't play him with consistency sooner..I think I picked him up 3 different times this season, and all 3 times he'd fall back down to early due to incosistent playing time.

Well I think it's safe to say now, he'll be going in the early rounds for sure next year. Bigs go quick and it's big drop after say the 4th round.

You guys do realize that his value will dip once RHJ comes back right?

All we realize is that as a jealous RHJ owner you are hoping so. Rhj will probably get reinjured within a couple weeks anyways dude is glass.

And no, Allen plays center and RHJ plays pf. I doubt rhj is part of the teams future plans because he can't shoot so can't stretch the floor which is basically a requirement for a 4 in this league now.

Sky's the limit for the long term but if we're being safe top 70 sounds good.

Also... you weren't paying attention lately if one of the 3 times you picked him up wasnt in the past week. He's been stringing solid fantasy lines together for days. Today was too late for a pickup. He should have already been in your starting lineup!

I think it’s dependent on league settings. I have him in the majority of my yahoo money leagues with cats, but my money points leagues have him still on the wire. He’s not in full breakout mode in points leagues just yet, and it’s even harder to stomach owning a Brooklyn guy in some default ESPN settings where you have center limitations and a playoff schedule of 3-3.

Why would I hope Jarrett Allen's value drops? The coach loves Rondae and he's definitely a part of the team's future plan. Allen is a 5 and RHJ is a 4 but that doesn't mean that RHJ cannot affect Allen's fantasy value.

Temper your expectations guys... There's absolutely no way he'll average top 50 ROS.

Worth a #1 waiver on a 10 teamer?

I'm in a 12 teamer, not a 10 teamer, but if you would like my opinion, I would say yes it's worth your #1 waiver... he has been given the starting C job and heavy minutes as well (31 mins. tonight!), so he be ballin like a beast going forward... gud lak! ;)

I concur! Top 70 seems to be safe to say in my opinion, at least that's what I hope he'll be producing going forward RoS... soooo glad I dropped JJ for this stud! Leesssgoooooo...

So true... the center limitations on ESPN are a curse.

Granted, my 3 centers are absolute monsters, but it sucks when you want a guy like Allen but can’t add him unless you cut Towns haha.

Why? Rhj doesn’t play the 5 and Allen doesn’t play the 4. Say bye bye to Carroll pf mins and joe Webb playing 15

Top 75 ROS is what I'm hoping for, anything better is gravy, but he def has potential to record top 50 ROS numbers. This year's Richaun Holmes, perhaps. Hopefully next year he breaks out like Whiteside's original breakout.

Since he got the starting job 5 games ago he has averaged 16 points 8 rebs and 1 block. All but one of those games were in under 26 mpg too. Fg% is also in the mid 60's averaged over those 5 games which is pure anchoring on a 16 point average. Ft% pure gold for a center which can't be overlooked at all.

It is only going to get better from here too and you will see several lines like last game, maybe not 6 assists often but the rest for sure. His confidence growing big time and if Atkinson trusts him enough to play him 30 min a night all the time then look out.

This is a good post.

To everyone debating ROS rank, who cares? At this point it is all about team build and Allen is kind of a specialist in a few cats. So you either need those or you don't. A 67th ranked player could be top 25 valuable to some builds (KP or Boogie owners, punt builds) or he could be worthless/top 125ish on other builds. You just need to project what you think he is going to do and see if you need those stats.

Do you reckon Allen could finish the year we'll enough to become a 7th keeper ?. He has high enough upside but not sure if he is a year early. Been thinking about moving him while he is killing it as I'm not in contention

I don't think someone having a different opinion than you makes them a troll.

Thank you.

Jarrett Allen was put into the starting lineup one game after RHJ was injured. Tyler Zeller wasn't traded until 02/05. I believe Atkinson needed someone in the starting lineup who can run the pick and roll and cut to the basket like RHJ. Once RHJ returns, Allen will lose some of his touches and 1-2 rebounds a game. His rank average for the last 2 weeks is 47! He can still be a good glue guy b/c he has good percentages and only hurts you in the assists and threes category but his value is definitely going to dip.
