NFBC Draft and Hold Leagues

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am aiming to run 4 separate drafts, all hosted on Fantrax:

1) Standard Draft and Hold | $25 entry fee | Payouts: 1st: $175, 2nd: $125, 3rd: $50, 4th: $25 (Draft to start January 22nd)

2) Standard Draft and Hold | $25 entry fee | Payouts: 1st: $175, 2nd: $125, 3rd: $50, 4th: $25 (Draft to start February 1)

3) Standard Draft and Hold | $80 entry fee | Payouts: 1st: $400, 2nd: $300, 3rd: $175, 4th: $125, 5th: $80, Each Category Won: $12 (Draft to start February 15)

4) Keeper Draft and Hold (First Year): Payouts same as League 3 | (Draft to start February 24)

Payment for each draft is due one day before the league starts to guarantee your spot in the league.

Before getting to the information that is consistent across all leagues, here is the constitution for the the keeper league. It has the details on how keepers will work.

League Info

15 teams

50 players drafted per team with 23 active slots (listed later)

8 hours allowed per pick (please note this; some people work and will not make their picks immediately...this leads to a long draft: 2.5-3 weeks is very realistic; clock also stops during the night); if a draft appears unlikely to finish before season starts, then the clock will be reduced.

No transactions during season (i.e., stuck with what you draft)

Standard 5x5 roto scoring

Suggestion- Up the ante to $100 and run the clock 2 or 4 hours, with a sleep timer. Everyone has a smartphone and these go more smoothly and are more enjoyable with a better pace.
