Dez Bryant 2018 Outlook

So is dez gonna play this year or what... All the focus is on the Bell holdout now and no one cares if poor old Dez will be lacing up.

very different situations.  bell has a team.  dez does not.  would think someone would be willing to take a shot on him as money doesnt seem to be a huge factor, but teams with wr needs havent seemed interested.

Dude is basically done playing. For a WR he is too old and slow...

he's the same age as Julio.

Should have a good 2-3 years left

Julio had 88 receptions and 1,444 receiving yards last season. Just because he had an outlier in TDs doesn't mean he's trending in the wrong direction. You're high if you think that, especially after Thursday night.

As far as Dez is concerned, if the right team with a good QB situation signs him mid-season he could turn in top-end WR2 production for the rest of the season. That's worth keeping at the end of your bench as a wait-and-see stash.

Someone should take the twitter away from Dez, he is acting like an ex who stalks your timeline.

Grow up Dez The Cowboys were not that into you, move on and accept it's business, stop making it personal.

Free-agent receiver Dez Bryant reveled in his former team’s demise on Sunday, with a wide variety of tweets taking delight in the Cowboys’ Week One struggles at Carolina.

When he wasn’t musing about playing for New England or Washington, Dez was claiming that the Cowboys would have won on Sunday if they’d kept Dez and kicker Dan Bailey (that tweet may have been deleted) and chiding offensive coordinator Scott Linehan for exiting the locker room without comment after the game.

Dez also shared this observation about the man who owns the team that drafted Bryant in 2010: “I love Jerry I honestly don’t think HE wanted me gone so I feel his pain.”

Maybe he should take lessons from Brandon Marshall on what a "prove it" deal is.  Marshall had just $90K guaranteed on his $1.1 million deal with these incentives thrown in on top:

Reception Incentives:
40-49: $75,000
50-59: $125,000
60-69: $250,000
70+: $350,000

Yards Incentives:
500-599: $75,000
600-699: $125,000
700-799: $250,000
800+ $350,000

7+ TD: $350,000

The tweeting was very unprofessional and teams like the Pats aren’t looking to bring someone like Dez on board.

But the Seahawks maybe?

Niners?

The tweet wasn't deleted, it never happened, the person who wrote this article is just misinformed.

Dave Ross is the one who tweeted that, Dez just REtweeted it and added "Real fact".

As for Linehan, Dez has every right to laugh at the hypocrisy.  Everyone whines and cries that Dez is a baby, too emotional, passionate, lets his emotions get the best of him... and then Linehan storms off because he's upset and refuses to comment?  How do you not laugh at that?

For those who say Dez is obsessed, should stop tweeting, etc... when will you ever learn?  There is no such thing as bad publicity.

Nike sales jumped 31%, because for an entire week every twitter/insta/snap/fb/radio show/tv show in the world was talking about Nike.

Here we are, Monday morning and guess what?  Every sport site, football show, radio show, and forum is talking about Dez, if he was right about yesterday, what teams could use him/should be calling him, etc etc.  It doesn't get anymore obvious.

Baldwin hurt so maybe Seattle kicks the tires.

Teams will eventually be calling Dez. The Cowboys should be, but they are a bunch of proud idiots for cutting him with no real backup plan.

Also they'd probably have to pay through the nose and/or publicly grovel for Dez to be willing to come back.  Did him no favors cutting him when they did.

Disagree.  You say this while at the same time NFL ratings are down.  Companies can take a hit on bad publicity.  Can an unemployed guy trying to get a job take the bad publicity? Is that what Zay Jones was doing this offseason?

It is easy when you can weather the storm.  Aaron Rodgers can do whatever he wants he just got paid.  Dez is acting like he is too good for everyone, WHILE alienating potential teams with his antics.  At the same time he is talking about the Patriots and Redskins like he has job offers, as if they haven't passed on him all offseason and preseason.

Guy could be on a 1-0 Ravens team getting paid.  Instead, he is at home on twitter trying to be relevant.  He should start posting here.

Looks like Baldwin is gonna be out a couple of weeks and Seattle is short on playmakers.  What about hawks as a landing spot?

Doesnt look like Pats are gonna happen with their signings today.

WR needy teams seem to be passing him over. I wonder if his attitude has gotten him blackballed?

Maybe waiting until after week 1 so the contract isn’t fully guaranteed but yeah the non interest here is puzzling. Maybe he really is just washed up

Headache and team chemistry disruption weighed against skill and ability on the field.  Also salary demand.  All 31 other teams have examined these factors and decided the correct decision is to leave Dez a free agent.

I say 31 because Dez will NEVER go back to the Cowboys.

I thought he was done the minute I saw him sucking up to Hue Jackson

I don't know.  There was some talk of teams signing Dez after week 1, because then his salary would not be guaranteed.  But I have seen no reports, no visits, nothing.  The list of non-Dez WRs that New England alone has signed since the end of their Super Bowl loss is quite long and quite unimpressive.
