Will his ego allow him to be an efficient blocker? I know he can block, but will he when it's 90% of his job?

When you’re no longer gaining separation- it’s a lot harder to throw you a catchable ball.   You can put some blame on Dak...but he’s not going anywhere.

Dez might find another place to be productive & possibly valuable in ff land.   Dak will remain bench material.

Yeah, i expect Dez to find a new home...and maybe a new, less productive role.   Concerning that the guy can only run 3 routes though.   I’m of the opinion that he is no longer the one on one nightmare he once was.

Dont agree about Dak.  Sophomore slump only

the 2015 injury riddled season where Dez appeared in 9 games with Romo, Brandon Weeden and Cassel was a rough one to say the least lol. 43% catch rate that season

As for Dak, I'm sure a few underwhelming options that flamed out embarrassingly in 2017 will step up and emerge with better numbers in 2018 like maybe Ryan, Carr, etc.   So i could see a bump down for Dak if that happens and it could for the first time in two season's knock him outside that top10-12.  If i recall he finished top 12 across most formats in 2017, even with the rough year.  Its going to be interesting to see if Dak can bounce back though.  His numbers with Zeke playing are pretty dang good, for real football and FF purposes.

Same league, ^^^Dak's 2016 as well.  So far in two season's we have yet to see Dak outside the top 12 for FF QB's.  Im not ready to say he's bench material for FF, yet.

Not a top 12 last year if you factor ppg...he's a 16-18 ppg QB at best, his receiving corp won't improve with the subtraction of Dez, and he'll probably be passed by at least another 2-3 qbs this year.

If I’m understanding you correctly SighGolf...

you basically think Dallas will be just as bad as last year.

average fantasy points per game?

EDIT: i can agree I'm not sure the WR core is improved without Dez.  I also can agree, as i said, that a few QB names could jump Dak in FF points in 2018 which could knock him down some.

Get me a link to the source that shows Dak as a 16-18 FF PPG QB, i'd like to look through it please

Dak was FF QB #6 in 2016 and #11 in 2017 in FFPPG in the league i showed you earlier.  I'd like to sort through another source though since that is just one of my leagues

@psygolf    ahh i see.  Taking into account Watson(7gms), AROD(7gms), Wentz(13gms) season's cut short PPG that bumps Dak down to the 14 range.    I wasn't thinking of it along those lines so i follow ya now.  I wish Dak's FFPPG was only on his first 7 games of 2017 :)

In a normal season, I see his ceiling as 18pts.  If he scores a top  SoS, it could easily jump 2-3ppg.

Do you see them on an upswing?  I haven't seen it, they are hobbled by their poor cap situation.

After Philly, that division is a crapshoot.  I don’t think Dez to Hurns is a big deal considering the recent performance of Dak/Dez.    Their schedule is substantially lighter this season as well.   And that running game can hide a lot of flaws.   Can’t underestimate the effect Zekes shenanigans caused last season.

Philly 13-3

dallas 10-6 (wildcard contender)

Skins 8-8

NYG 6-10

8 team league?  Dak was QB10 with everything going wrong, and hopefully has more O-line stability this year.  Zeke also relieves a lot of pressure.

ETA:  Getting caught up, see you've already responded.  Every year QBs get hurt.  If he's your bench material at end of season, he's premium bench material.  I also think last year is his ballpark floor, so I expect him to finish top 10.

Whoopy-do.  Not to open up a strategy theory can of worms...but if your QB is not top5 material, then you are losing at the position to half your league.

It's mostly about opposing D and CB quality.  To date when they are good (say top 15) he struggles.
