Yelich is putting his finishing touches on his MVP season with his performance against St. Louis.

Only competition now is Baez.

my vote goes to Yelich and Mookie

How do you separate Baez from Story?

Arenado, Baez, Story, and Freeman are all close in NL

Baez > Story. Look at their road OPS's. Story's numbers are Coors inflated.

I don't see it.

Freeman doesn't have the numbers.

Story and Arenado, like Fletch mentioned, have to deal with the Coors effect. That and their team may not make the postseason.

I separate them by about 5,000 feet of elevation.

don't matter.   Yelich should win it.   He'd have my vote.

I really think Yelich has run away with the MVP award in the past month. Best player on a team massively outperforming expectations. Leads the league in OPS. Elite counting stats -- only he, Arenado and Harper have 100+ runs and 100+ RBI (although Baez may get there as well).

It's totally realistic for Baez or Arenado to siphon off some first place votes, but really neither of them have a strong case unless you put a huge amount of weight on infield defense.

Yelich has a 6.9 fWAR and a 7.0 bWAR. Baez has a 5.5 fWAR and a 6.3 bWAR. That was before tonight's game.

There should be no discussion who should win the MVP.

What. a. year.

I didn't even realize Yelich had a shot to win the Triple Crown today. Two homers and a few RBI coupled with an ofer by Arenado would have done the trick!

Alas, it didn't happen. But Yelich today did collect three hits -- pushing his OPS to an even 1.000! -- and a RBI and more importantly the Brewers won the game and the division.

I reckon the MVP is Yelich's.

amazing September

hit .352 with 10 HRs, 24 Runs, 33 RBI and 6 SBs.  His OPS for Sept was 1.307!

His FB% was still low (it was actually lower than last season), but his hard% was 12.4% higher. I don't expect him to hit 36 homers again in 2019, but 25 - 30 bombs seems about right.

the playoffs cant even slow this guy down.  he keeps going up the draft board

@Fuzzy_Slippers - i agree with your assessment above.  i think hes a legit close to 30 homer guy in Milwaukee for the next few years.  ill be drafting according next year
