You really shouldn’t be...but if someone wanted to offer Ajayi plus Sanders...for example I’d entertain.

Even Joe Mixon's mom isn't offering that for Mixon right now

I would take Mixon and a free agent over Ajayi and Sanders in redraft and dynasty. Not even close.

Anyone concerned either the injury or the surgery could have lingering effects?

doesn't sound like it, based on reports that it was a clean up and it was very minor.  of course surgery is surgery and anytime they cut you open there is a chance for lingering issues, but it doesn't sound like anyone expects a long absence

No!  I only expect him to miss one game!

I don't want them to rush him back. I drafted well enough that I can still win games if he misses 2-4 games.  Hopefully they asses the situation  correctly.

Lets say he misses 3 games to be fair. Look at the schedule when he returns.

6 Pit

7 @KC

8 TB

9 BYE

shootouts !! 3 games then he gets to rest like a good boy.

I'm hoping he isn't out more than 2 weeks. Saving my #2 waiver not using it on Gio. F Gio lol.

Lot's of waiver advices telling everyone to get Gio.  I have mixon, but I too am not wasting my waiver spot on Gio.  He's a 2 week rental.  I'd rather spend it on someone who has more long term potential, like Brieda.  After 2 weeks when Mixon comes back, Gio will be worthless again.

Gio would be worth keeping until Mixon has proven fully healthy once he returns. I'd feel safer keeping entire season in case of re-injuries.

That's one way to go. I'm got Gio but was lucky I didn't have to use a waiver on him because he was a FA right before Mixon got injured. Still think it's a good play to use a waiver on Gio, just in case Mixon gets injured again.

Understood, but I don't think this injury is particularly prone to re-injury. While everyone gets freaked out about knee injuries, this wasn't even cartilage damage, or sprained/torn ligament, etc.

So if you're the type to normally cuff a top back, I can see the idea behind keeping him. However, if you're concerned that this injury will portend future injuries, I don't think there's any real expectation of that.

Don't get me wrong.  I don't mind cuffing Mixon with Gio, but I just don't have the bench space.  So I'd rather use my waiver priority on Breida, so I can plug him in during bye weeks or when the matchup is right.  Once Mixon comes back, Gio is basically a wasted space..... a space which could have been filled by a viable starter.   But I do think that Gio will do just fine filling in for Mixon.  I'm just looking past the next 2 weeks.

Very understandable. Everyone has different situations.

Joe Mixon said he’s already walking fine and trying to run after 4 days down. When he’ll return? “It’s my call.” Said he’s a competitor when I asked if he hopes it’s only 2 weeks. Said it’s why he played the TNF game injured.

I used my #3 on him because RBs who dominate touches are rare and thus I have the Cinncy RB who dominates touches either way. Will probably keep Gio as a handcuff after Mixon comes back just in case there are complications or a reinjury. Of course I'd have taken Breida instead if he was available.

Players always think that though. An NFL starting RB who just had a knee procedure ...he needs to chill

I was thinking the same. I used my #5 waiver on Gio, so I'm admittedly biased. But I feel like with knee scopes and high ankle sprains, players always think they can come back sooner than they should.
