Jerick McKinnon 2018 Outlook

Recommended Posts

People that passed him up are the ones that are in here bashing him, it’s like talking to a wall with these haters.  You can tell them he’s on the best coach for rbs in fantasy, you can tell them his SPARQ is legendary, you can them he’s GOING to get more touches then last year barring injury, you can tell them with limited touches last year he finished 17th rb in ppr, you can tell them the offensive line is a upgrade, you can tell them jimmy g is a top 10ish qb which will prevent stacks, you can tell them he signed a big contract and is the shiny new toy for the offense ...... bottom line is they don’t listen , they are just trying to make themselves feel good that they passed on him for another player, some of these guys play high stakes fantasy football.....it helps them sleep ? at night.

mckinnon will put up at least top 15 numbers sorry to break it too the haters, don’t see how someone who finished 17th overall last year with limited touches can’t do better in a feature role and said above facts.....

I think people are underselling how good McKinnon was last year, in the 12 games Cook didn't play last year McKinnon put up 16 game pace numbers of 1200 total yards and 7 tds. Those numbers would have made him the RB10 over all last year.

Now he's on a team with Kyle Shanhan who has a history of producing high level fantasy RBs.

- 2017 - Carlos Hyde - 10.1 points/game

- 2016 - Devonta Freeman - 13.5 points/game

- 2015 - Devonta Freeman - 15.4 points/game

- 2013 - Alferd Morris - 10.0 points/game

- 2012 - Alferd Morris - 14.4 points/game

- 2010 - Ryan Torain - 12.2 points/game

- 2009 - Steve Slaton - 11.5 points/game

- 2008 - Steve Slaton - 14.1 points/game

I honestly don't get why there is so much arguing here. You have an uber elite athlete who has shown he can put up fantasy points and is now the hand picked and highly paid running back of a coach who almost always produces quality fantasy players.

Is spelled Alfred. As in Alfred Morris, starting RB

The 49ers had 350 carries between RBs last year. Averaging 27 carries a game during Jimmy's 5 game stretch(which would be 432 for 16 games). Even if they expected McKinnon to stay healthy. He was NEVER going to get near all those carries. Breida was slated to likely get over 100 again. If Morris has wormed his way into the fold. He's probably taking more from Breida than McKinnon

Nor does McKinnon actually need 1000 yards on the ground to be a big time fantasy asset given we know he's going to used very liberally in their passing game. Which he has the skills to excell in unlike Hyde did.

Also I doubt McKinnon is still 205 LBs that Sites have him as. That may have been true when he was losing out GL to Asiata..but he's gained weight since then (Unless he lost it all again?) If you google his weight it says 216.

What are the odds of Mckinnon returning his third round value?

Well fantasy team managers who want McKinnon are going to have to take him in the second round.  But of those who do, they are going to be glad they did.
