Corey Clement 2018 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Yahoo saying:

(10/11 @NYG)

Corey Clement is unlikely to play due to a quadriceps injury on a short week as the Eagles face a Giants defense in Week 6 allowing 353 yards from scrimmage per game, which is 12th in the NFL.

First year using Yahoo, are they a bunch of Yahoos?

That isn't the latest status. This is:

NJ Advance Media's Zack Rosenblatt expects Corey Clement to lead the Eagles' backfield Thursday night against the Giants.

Advice: Rosenblatt notes the Eagles have already played a game without Jay Ajayi this season, and Clement played 55 percent of the snaps while finishing with 16 carries. Wendell Smallwood played just 35 percent of the snaps on his way to 10 carries, but he did score a touchdown. Clement has been sidelined since that game, so it is possible Smallwood gets a little more work Thursday night. Even so, Clement is the better fantasy bet. Both are worth a look as an RB3/FLEX.

You do realize that Yahoo gets all their news/info from Rotoworld, right? The blurbs you see on Yahoo are from Rotoworld's doing.

The date at the top is the day of the weeks game, not when they wrote it.

All of the text at the top for Yahoo is written on Sunday/Monday, and goes live at Midnight Tuesday I believe.  Yahoo literally has Rotoworld integrated directly into their system for up to date news, an inch underneath.

thanks man, first time yahoo user. I like it in some ways, other ways not so much. When you click Clement's player card the first notes you see are that he's unlikely to play with the date of the game (today).

not a concern for me since I study this crap, probably way to much, but for novices that would suck if they didn't know better.

not the point, Carlos. ;) And again, first time using Yahoo. but thanks!

P.S. the point of my post was that I don't like the way Yahoo formats certain things.

Sorry for that, didn't mean to alarm anyone. Thought it was silly the way Yahoo formats it, bunch of yahoos. Probably should have posted it in the platform thread, my bad.

If Corey Clement is playing or not isn't relative to the Corey Clement thread?

Yes of course. But my first post about Yahoo was more just making fun of their format because when you click Clement the first blurb you see is what I posted above ("unlikely to play"). However the truth is he is healthy, playing and should see the biggest share of work (of the PHL RB's).

Not when the info that was being discussed is irrelevant old news

Corey's status has been "go" for at least a few days.  The guy mistakenly posted an outdated blurb that stated the contrary.  It caused unnecessary confusion.  That's all.

Just heard he’s in a pitch count in the pre game. Smallwood is starting.

For those worried about the rain, Dr. Chao has made a point of constantly reiterating that wet fields are much more forgiving for those coming back from injuries and less likely to cause injury/reinjury.

Ick... Had just convinced myself to slot him in. 'Pitch Count' always terrifies me, especially after suffering through Dalvin's Week 3...

aaaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm taking him out for Miller.  Still hope to see good things, though.  There are rumors of PHI trading for a RB.  If Corey and Wendell look good, maybe they think otherwise.
