Just awesome getting this guy for free.....

If Chubb was the clear cut starter entering the year, where do you think he would have went in 10 team standard redraft leagues?

Tough, but I'd say if he had some preseason hype the way Barkley did, which I think he would've if he was the starter, 2nd/3rd round.

Second or third. There are only about 6 clear cut starters in the NFL though so giving him that is a little bit much.

Probably a little before Royce Freeman.  Even if he was named the clear starter, Hyde would still be in the mix.

Super stoked... Chubb is a beast. Im sure playing football all his life he will be able to run routes, catch the ball and block... Fire him up and watch him rip arms off on his way to the goalline...

I was out bid on Tues night for Ito and my next claim was Chubb for 1$. got him cheap

Well that worked out nicely for ya

Can chubb catch? I worry they might give johnson more work if chubb can't. If chubb can get 2 or 3 catches in addition to lead back role, this dude could salvage my season

Been watching him since highschool ( he went to a nearby school from where i live).. Die hard UGA fan too..

Both highschool and college he never really had to, or was asked to; Especially at UGA. I do NOT remember him droping passes though haha.

I drafted Chubb in a dynasty and am just as thrilled as everyone here (I actually get to use him).

I'm not nearly as bullish as many posters in this thread for the short term. Chubb is still a rookie and DJJ isn't chopped liver. Remember DJJ threw a bit of a tantrum about his snaps and you have to believe the Browns' FO was hoping to solve some of that problem as well. It is so rare in the NFL that trades like this - that just make so much common sense - actually get done. It seems like a miracle really. Everyone knew the Browns were overloaded at RB and I just assumed they'd do nothing about it like most teams.

I expect to see a fairly balanced committee type approach at least for the first couple games with game flow dictating who's more involved. That's just typically how these kind of situations go. Tight games will favor DJJ, blowouts one way or another favor Chubb. GL carries will almost exclusively belong to Chubb, which is huge.

If Chubb gets 10-15 carries for 60-70 yards and a score in this game I'll be content. Long term - Chubb can't be looked at as anything but a gem with Hyde out of the picture.

Call me crazy but I think I'm gonna roll him out there rather than Michel simply based on matchups

You’re crazy. Old man Gore just ran for 100+ on Chicago and the Pats will score touchdowns.

I did some research into Chubb, when I traded for Michel and watched both their Georgia highlights.

According to the college scouting report from  https://www.numberfire.com/nfl/news/19811/what-are-the-cleveland-browns-getting-in-nick-chubb

"Chubb's biggest weakness is in the receiving game. He had 18 receptions as a freshman, but only 13 in his final 3 seasons in college. '

Sony's role was more as the receiving back, but Sony didn't even get that many receptions at Georgia.  I watched some of the combine footage watching Chubb catch passes, he looks garguantuan and powerful running routes, but not exactly fluid to my eyes.  But hey, once this guy gets a head of steam, he looks like a freight train.

Here it is, start watching at 35 secs in for route running.

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-combine/0ap3000000924125/Nick-Chubb-s-full-2018-NFL-Scouting-Combine-workout

I think Chubb's potential is a league winner, especially in standard.  In my league, waivers are frozen once the Thurs game starts, so I got to wait till next week, I hope I get him...  I'm going to bid high on him.  Hyde has been a bit banged up and still has the 3rd most carries in the league.  When that  that kind of talent and fresh legs + good offensive line mix with lots of usage, you got a fantasy monster.  I think he could outscore Sony the rest of the season, who I'm high on since I traded for him right before he broke out.
