Devonta Freeman 2018 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Guarantee those of us with Freeman and Coleman are gonna be picking the wrong one to start every single week for the next 16 weeks

That was diseased

(I also went against Ajayi, FML)

Is there any other RB's in Falcons roster?

T Coleman cannot be a every down back if D Freeman is out.

But low candidate. I’ve seen a good number of people’s hat drafted him that didn’t have their heart into it. Just so they could cross off a RB pick in the first two rounds. Not everyone. Prolly not even the majority.

I like Freeman this year. I’m okay with a boom or bust player.

??

Quote

Freeman was announced as questionable in the game's closing moments. He was spotted on the sideline without his helmet. It's unclear when exactly Freeman was injured, but it was presumably much earlier. Before the issue was announced, OC Kyle Shanahan had seemed to inexplicably go away from his lead back. Before going down, Freeman failed to convert two carries from the Eagles' one-yard line. If he can get cleared, Freeman will get the Panthers' tough defense in Week 2.

I like him too, might be the time to offer some backend bench scrub before more news came out.

Foolish take until we know the extent of his injury.

Ok, assuming it's not a serious injury. Obviously. Owners are still hella low on him after tonight's performance, injury or not.

It's probably low if he isn't injured like he claimed...

If he's lying about the injury, you'd probably have paid too much....

Roll the dice.

To be fair, Shanahan did already decide to go away from his lead back.

When did he decide this? Last year Coleman would come in for entire series while Freeman would get the next one. Freeman was actually in a lot before he got injured, much more than I remember seeing him in last year.

Not really. That's why you can buy low. You're willing to take on that risk. Whoever owns him in your league might not want that gamble.

If the gamble pays off you win! If it doesn't, well that sucks. But if he didn't have the injury there would be no buy low window.

And what would you offer as an example as a buy low offer for him?

Or you trade for an injured player with a history of concussions that might be in a time share.

Starting from Dion Lewis, Rex Burkhead, Jamaal Williams, Peyton Barber, John Conner, Marshawn Lynch, Chris Carson etc etc. That mid rd5-early rd7 RBs in a ppr 12 teams ADP range.
