5/11 - GAME DAY THREAD

Recommended Posts

Sonny Gray is hot garbage.

A. Sanchez has two pitches... meatballs down the middle, or balls 10+ inches off the plate that hitters give up on immediately. I've watched every start this year and I'm amazed he has the ERA he currently does. It won't last much longer IMHO.

Sale just doing Sale things in the 4th.  Strikes out the side on 11 pitches.

I mean...Sonny didn't just wake up one day in his late 20s and forget how to pitch, right?  There is a bounce back coming?  This is supposed to be his prime, damnit!

Gausman is a hit machine. 9 hits.

8 singles and a two bagger... no BB is encouraging.

Really classy by Pitt fans - still giving McCutchen great cheers every AB.  Even booed Taillon when he threw one up and in in the third.

Jed Lowrie with a solo shot.

Pretty sure that would have been an out in a lot of other stadiums. If I heard right, that one traveled 367 feet, but it sure didn't look it. That looked like a cheap short right porch bomb. Still counts either way!

Might've even been foul in a lot of parks.  It was basically a "Yankees Stadium homerun"

It’s May 11th and Nick Markakis and Jed Lowrie are In the top 35 on player raters. How many people saw that coming?

Markakis has always been a good AVG hitter but finally getting some power mixed in and has a lineup that can give him some more counting stats

And as long as Lowrie can stay healthy he is a pretty solid bat

Yeah, it’s a little annoying to watch night after night. For all the time I spent preparing for drafts I spent less than 10 seconds looking at those 2 and came away with 0 shares. Oh well, all part of the game.
