Rings are a team effort, GOAT is individual. LeBron GOAT. :)

Straw man. 1/10.

If you want to continue playing dumb, that's your prerogative.

Again, so are you saying, that a team with Crowder, Wade, IT2 and Shumpert is worse than this Finals team? Yes or no?

You're asking the wrong question. Which team has the better chance of retaining Lebron? The one where they don't make a move at the deadline and don't win a championship has 0% of retaining him.

This team has no chance of retaining Lebron. They just got swept, and every player on the Cavs can’t guard Durant. Durant literally shot over everybody!

They have no cap space, Lue can’t coach, Love is stuck, Hood sucked the whole playoffs except these last two

games, Clarkson sucked, and they finally benched him in the finals, Smith couldn’t buy a 3, Hill didn’t do anything special. Jeff Green had one (maybe two) outstanding games, and Korver was hit or miss. You want Lebron to cOme back to that?

So rings don't = GOAT like I said LeBron individual GOAT.

Your entire argument is "Well if rings matter why isn't player X goat?" It's an absolutely terrible argument and a straw man. Fallacies don't win you any debate. Rings are important because the point of the game is to win a championship not get triple doubles. Basketball is a team game but out of team sports it's near damn the top of the list of games where one player has a huge influence. No one wants to mention why the hell Lebron passed in game one or why he didn't take it to the paint more often towards the end of last game. No rings are not the only thing that matters. Literally no one thinks that. However, they are a huge factor and you don't have to have them to be great. However, once you start getting into the top 5-10 player discussion they matter a lot.

But they had to try. You're being a little naive if you think a perceived title contender (especially in the NBA) can sit on their hands at the deadline and not get destroyed by their fanbase and the media for it. Look at the Astros and how much s--- they got until they paid out the nose for Verlander after the deadline. They needed to get something done, and frankly, it doesn't matter if it made the team better or not (this year it truly did make them better, Hill was huge, Nance doesn't suck, and they gave up 0 players that were giving them anything this season).

Hill was huge in doing what? Explain a playoff game where you can say, Hill was the player of the game, same for Nance. Clarkson, the great 6th man runner up behind Lou Williams did what?

Are you joking? He's one of 2 players on the team that can handle the ball.

They don't matter at all. If you're starting a franchise, and you get to choose anyone from the entire history of the NBA. Unequivocally the only choices for your #1 pick are LeBron or Jordan. For me it's LeBron, bigger, faster, stronger.

That’s an opinion. A bad one at that.

Spurs? Spurs played boring basketball - low scoring games. The last team I remember that was fun to watch was the Lakers (Lakers-Kings, Lakers-Blazers were amazing series).

Not the Warriors fault (or KD's) that  a few things worked for them - KD was a FA, cap went up, Warriors had cap room, Curry/Klay/Green were on great contracts.  Regardless, I don't see this core team staying together after 2019/2020 - Klay/Green/KD become FAs.

Because of the Warriors (even without KD), teams are now focusing on small ball lineups.. and letting their Centers shoot 3s!!

Perhaps. the NBA should have a hard cap like football

Oh my..... You new to basketball?  I mean, that's not a dig, it's a serious question.  You've never heard of The Beautiful Game?  My lord, educate yourself.  Lakers?  WTF?  Those were great series but nothing like the basketball being played today.

GL building a team with lebron when he is going to leave you in 7 yrs(cavs 1.0) or 4 yrs (heat) and when he leaves Cavs 2.0 this summer again because he is so desperate and needed the help to win more chips than any superstars in NBA history.

The Heat were a better option so it doesn’t matter. Those 3 were already old...

Huh? Any team in the NBA was a better option than that cavs squad, and by old you mean in their prime lmao.

Thanks for reminding Le not 1, not 2, not 3 ... not 8. By the way this is the final year since LeBron promised about 8 championships when super friends happened with heat and he truly delivered 8 Eastern conference championships.

And Jordan lost 7 eastern conference championships, sometimes didn't even make it. Rings are a team achievement, LeBron GOAT bigger, stronger, faster than MJ & his career is far from over.

The year Lebron made his decision.

Pierce - 33

Garnett - 34

Allen - 35

Lebrons decision was exactly what KDs decision was about. Finding the best path to a championship.

Sigh.... OKC had the Warriors down 3-1 & KD choked, he joined a 73-9 win team he almost beat it's not even remotely similar. That's taking the easiest path in NBA history and he'll forever be known as the weakest most spineless player to ever play the game. LeBron took the best path yes, who wouldn't being on that abysmal Cavs squad in 2010. Also the NBA actually made this possible when they increased the salary cap last CBA and created a threshold that bad teams had to pass which made teams spend big money on role players. Parity is gone and superstar teams have been made possible.
