Bad to see you go back to being obstinate. He hit a clutch shot without an alpha scorer to put it in overtime, and as the previous article demonstrated, he hit more clutch shots in the playoffs than MJ. He didn't finish clutch in OT, but they wouldn't have had a chance to be there without him. The truth is that LeBron is often a clutch scorer. Tonight he was in one out of two chances he had to do so, and admittedly the time he wasn't the team lost. Nothing changes about your absurd premise --- one that has everyone here making confused and laughing faces at you, and mocking you repeatedly -- that LeBron, one of the best ever to play the game and a proven clutch player, is some kinda soft snowflake who needs an alpha to win. EmbiidGOAT 139
Jordan missed a clutch lay-up in the 1995 Eastern Conference Finals and lost the series to Shaq & Penny failing to make finals, all of the greats choke including the GOAT LeBron James.
sya 744
Lebron missed 2 FTs, but come on if not for him it would have been over too in regulation. LBJ is also unfortunate (though he hand picks his coach so not really!) to play for poor coaches. Here is the difference between a good coach and a bad coach: Kerr in GSW vs Utah during last moments of game, told referee if Jazz misses call a time out as soon as they grab the rebound. Jonas Jerebko when he grabbed the rebound, passed out to Curry at once, good thing Kerr reminded the ref even before that could happen to immediately whistle for a timeout if they can get rebound. Warriors got lucky, but the difference of being able to inbound the ball in half court vs all the way full court is huge. Today, Luke Walton: When Lakers got the rebound there before the Lebron 3, Luke Walton didn't call timeout, LBJ was the one who signaled for time-out but refs didn't see it, and I think LBJ also didn't repeat it because he realized they cannot get the ball to half court because pass was already made. People all saying Luke Walton is a good coach it won't make a difference for Warriors if he or Kerr is the coach, well it will. LBJ did choke missing the 2 3s, but you have to give him credit he was dead tired already. Another example: Pops when he called the timeout leading to the Patty Mills go ahead jumper, he drew up a real play. Luke Walton called timeout when Mills hit the shot, with plenty of time remaining, there was no play. Just drew up an inbound to get the ball to Lebron and let him work. This works and actually ok for great players, nut just pointing out that Luke Walton is a bad coach. Well at least not as bad as Ty Lue!

greatestmetfan 486
So rotoworld wrote this in his blurb: LeBron's going to have to carry a heavy load this season to keep the Lakers afloat, but if they ever fall out of the playoff hunt, he' going to be a serious shutdown candidate. I just don't think he's a shut down candidate tbh because he's Lebron, but something to keep in mind as the Lakers go through their season.

With Rondo on the roster and Lonzo not knowing what his role on this team is, I think we need to accept the possibility that Lakers might miss the playoffs despite LeBron playing heavy minutes. They already lost to Spurs twice, and Spurs are supposed to be one of the easier opponents in the West

Before the season began the more rational of them said it was a long term project but they might make the 6th seed or something like that. The more biased lakers fans wouldn’t settle for anything less than unabashed approval of the lakers being a second seed ?. Meanwhile, a lot of non-lakers fans looked at the team and quickly realized it didn’t make sense to have two poor shooting guards when Lebron will handle the ball, a center who has played under 15 mpg for most of his career, and young guys. Now they still might make the playoffs, and get swept in the first round, but they don’t look like a contender.
FrightCoward 24
He's putting up nearly identical stats to last year, and his TO rate is down, steals are above 2 a game, and his FT% is close to 80% too. Enjoy the ride fellas!
