Nelson Agholor 2018 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Lol to those that think Agholor will suffer from Jordan Matthews returning off the scrap heap. Just another warm body with experience in the system.

Agholor is not losing routes to Jordan Matthews lol. I'd like to think Pederson is a lot smarter than that.

Its called Depth.  The Eagles are very thin at WR just because they pick up one doesnt mean he's going to instantly supplant current starters.

However, if Aghs starts to not be as productive as he typically has been, maybe the new old guy gets worked in more and more...

Nothing to freak out about yet though its mildly concerning that they didn't sign a more direct replacement to Mike Wallace.

Yeah maybe Jordan Matthews doesn't play much. But it's terrible news for any owner of a guy (Agholor) who was lined up for a huge season. We want him in the slot. We need him in the slot.

Matthews was picked up with Wallace going on the IR.  How things are run is anyones game.  You would think they should keep NA in the slot and JM can back him up.  But they need someone at the other WR spot and Alshon has still yet to play.

It may just be a numbers game at first with NA lining up at wideout because of necessity rather than convenience and preference.

I'm starting NA this week and hoping for another good game.

Coming from a diehard Eagle fan that also has Nelson on his FF team....(actually just traded for him today). He actually graded out very well playing on the outside these past 2 weeks, and that was against Trufant in week 1. With Carson returning, he'll likely be in good shape. Matthews return means nothing really IMO. Nelson is gonna ball this season....just be patient.

Man he’s already balling, set it and forget it. Jordan Matthews is irrelevant for fantasy.

Balling with Foles vs balling w/ Wentz is two vastly different stories. He has a special knack for splash plays with Carson. Hopefully they pick up where they left off last season.

Matthews is back... Whatever it's because they have to have 11 guys on the offense and are getting pretty thin.

Wentz is back... Hell yeah

This weeks news bumps Nelson up a few pegs not down.

What are people thinking he does today and his ROS outlook (with a healthy Wentz) and Alshon back?

Likely be a WR3/4 with the occasional score and Alshon will be a WR2/fringe WR1 based on matchup?

a little rain shouldn’t stop them from throwing those quick passes with half their runningbacks being out.

He has to be considered a must start for those that went RB early and often

"LOL Rusty a** Jordan Matthews being in the slot isn't going to affect Agholor"

5 targets 4 catches 24 yards

FIVE TARGETS. Nelson "target hog" Agholor

Time to drop?

Wentz does not see this guy at all.

With Alshon coming back, starting him looks bleak.

All the fantasy sites and gurus had this guy as top 20 WR against Indy.

It is bad.

I think he's safe to drop.  Alshon is Wentz's boy.  It seems Agholor only has value under Foles.

They got to put him back in his position when Alshon comes back, send Matthews to the bench for depth.

Agholar did fine with Wentz last year if I recall. Jeffrery returning will help him.

He did. Wentz is a better quarterback, therefore the offense will be better, therefore Wentz > Foles for fantasy production.

If foles had been in there today it would have been even worse for agholor IMO (is that possible?)

Regarding Foles, Agholor is his second most targeted option (but still far behind Ertz) but overall there are less targets to be had with Foles at QB

I'm confident the Eagles will figure it out with Wentz. Will Agholor benefit?
Massive overreaction to drop him already unless you are in a really shallow league or something

If anyone is Wentz's boy it's Jordan Matthews. JM was Wentz's best man at his wedding...

Why do you keep mentioning this nonsense about Matthews? Do you think it's some deep insight into the Eagles passing game? It obviously isn't, since Matthews had all of 2 targets.

He was only mentioning that in real life JM would be Wentz's boy. In fantasy Wentz is going to spread it around like last season. Agholor was very good with a healthy Wentz. That should pick up again.

You're looking at it wrong. Every snap that JM is in the slot hurts Agholor's production

I don't know what the snap % was for JM in the slot this week, but if Pederson really did that then I'm bewildered. They have a good thing going with Agholor in the slot and finally realizing his potential. Why upset that?

I'm really hoping Alshon coming back means Agholor goes back to the slot and receives the targets/production we hoped for, and yesterday was just a blip on the radar to forget.
