chud12 4,076
Anthony Davis will see a hand specialist and there are fears that he suffered a solar plate avulsion fracture in his left index finger, according to his agent, Rich Paul. While that sounds absolutely horrible, if confirmed, it means that Davis would be out anywhere from two to four weeks, theoretically putting him back in action for the fantasy playoffs. It's also possible that he doesn't have a fracture, but at this point, owners should probably plan on Davis missing more time with the injury. Julius Randle should be owned everywhere and Jahlil Okafor, who went off for 20 points, 10 boards and two blocks on Monday, will also be a hot pickup. However, Okafor has proven to be anything but reliable up to this point in his caree
KilloWertz 2,533
It sounds worse than it is. For people in regular leagues (no playoffs, etc.), obviously the extra time out would suck, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. Still applies to even leagues with playoffs as he would be back for them. At the end of the day, obviously I'm hoping he doesn't have a fracture. I'll just have to wait and see rather than freak out. That does no good.
Bugs bunny 1,739
Regular leagues have no playoffs? Lol . Most people play H2H. And most H2H have playoffs.
MrBean 125
2-4 weeks out? so that's like a week or 2 before fantasy playoffs... demn. hope he does't have any major injury. 4 weeks out is bad news, man 😭
JoeDub_Taiwan#1 19
God damn it, can't catch a break man!!!! Get the name of fracture right at least, it's Volar, not Solar, he doesn't get fracture from sun burn man, soft a** p***y
Boogie Buckets 405
The guy in my league who owns Davis is just outside the playoffs looking in and is aggressively shopping him around now as he fears he won’t make them without him. I feel like if youre almost a lock for the playoffs like myself, people should be trying to buy low on him but its just so scary man

Have a feeling in 3-4 days he will seek a specialist, then it will be he requires surgery and he will be out for the season. Just have this funny feeling that’s what will happen? Fukn knew it! FantasyBallFan 472
At the very least it’s his non shooting hand and he’ll be able to keep his conditioning up and return with no restrictions of any kind.
mas10 269
He’s manager is getting involved with his finger sprain. Believe me he won’t play again this season.
JoeDub_Taiwan#1 19
He should tape his injured finger to the healthy finger beside it and tough it out!!!

mas10 269
So question is if it’s fractured or broken would he need surgery? Or will it be after 4 weeks it hasn’t healed properly and now requires surgery and will be out for season?

MrBean 125
If it's true that he's agent is getting involved, then it's possible that he'll be out longer than 4 weeks. fml

It's not the shooting hand for god sake, Isaiah Thomas (piston Thomas) has played with one leg, I don't see why not with one finger injured.
gill2k 269
2-4 weeks doesn’t that bad. I’m more worried about the Pelicans possibly falling behind the playoff race after that timeline. Assuming worst case AD takes max 4 weeks to recover... do the Pels shut him down or does Rich Paul then tell them AD sits longer until he gets traded?
