Traded white for njoku right after my Olsen went down with his injury.. regret the decision ever since

fortunately it looks like you have a studly set of RBs but you could have been more studly.  a tragedy

I have confidence he will be able to keep up this production this year, even with Michel back.  However, what about next season.. Is this current season the new James White or just an anomaly?

it seems be a partial anomaly.  They were forced to put him into a RB1/focal point of offense role with injuries to Burkhead and then Michel.

Not to sound blasphemous but in terms of real value to a team's offensive flow  - he comes close to Gurley in impact.   Since Brady asked for White to be more involved they're undefeated and their overall offense has gotten better.  White is a killer in the short passing game.   Just  a very reliable solid all around football player who Brady trusts.

Just traded him in dynasty to a contender for a 1st that will likely end up being 1.09-1.12. The guy is "White" hot right now and will be useful down the stretch, but his usage has nowhere to go but down from here and historically his touches can fluctuate significantly depending on how BB is structuring his team/offense for any given year. Sony's role in the offense should continue to grow. Could be a league winner in redraft, but big picture I think his usage/performance has peaked. It's just a matter of how long this hot streak will last and will he continue to be as consistent in the second half of the season.

Is James White a great sell high?

He is having a great game right now on Sunday night BUT

1. Sony Michaels will be back soon

2. Burkhead could be back by fantasy playoffs.

I LOVE this guy but wouldn't it be smart to move him for someone with more stability going forward?

is White injured?

He was limping on the sideline shortly before Cordarelle Patterson's TD at the end of the first half.

Any updates?

He’s fine. Was heavily involved in the last Pats drive culminating in two straight chances on the goal line for him. And he scored.

What a beast.

Sadly we know the first and goals will go to Michel moving forward, and RB1 outings with Michel will be sorta tough, but his receptions will keep his floor so high that white will continue to be a great asset for us all. Cheers!

White is a specialist in the short yardage game.

While he obviously won't be beasting with Michel back...he still will play the same outlet role for Brady, which Brady is addicted to....and each time is almost a gauranteed 5 yards. It's sick.

White still had plenty of success each week, including his biggest 31.2 PPR week (then 23.7), when Michel had his three big weeks of 100.

Not worried.  ROASTING THE COMPETITION.

Sell high.

Michel coming back this week, Burkhead returning to practice. NE can't afford to lose him due to injury, so I expect them to scale back his workload. Still should be productive ROS, but I think you see him return to his week 1-3 #'s.

100% agreed, don't think his value can be any higher than it is right now.

Ugh. Rex Average coming back from IR doesn't bode well for White and Sony.

Well for 2 games until he goes back on IR anyway.

that's fair - we could've said that the last two weeks though.

This week is the last week I think he'll get majority of work with Sony being eased back in against Titans.

But realistically, everyone in fantasy just saw this Burkhead news so what are you going to sell him high for now if you have kept him this long and haven't sold already.

He'll probably go back to what we saw in weeks 1-3 after week 13 if Burkhead comes back and makes an impact.  That's a big if.

Yeah sadly I can see Burkhead being an annoying 3rd wheel

all us white / Michel owners will have to cross that road when  we get to it.  Not wasting a roster spot on this dude even if he ends up making some impact in week 14.

Most of us just need to worry about getting to playoffs/securing a bye, etc.   Deal with problems as they come.  White has strong viability the next 3-4 weeks.

As a White owner I just stashed Burkhead in my IR. Just insurance if something were to happen to White or Sony as I want to own the backfield. In all seriousness though I highly doubt Burkhead takes any work away from White with how he has been utilized and performed this year and TB12 loves him.

Your last observation is what is most important here.

After Brady said we need more White after week 2 that is all we have received. When Burkhead was healthy White was not an established glue piece to this offense and well now he is. As the Pats go at least for this year so will White. They need him out there if they want their engine to keep moving.
