Enes Kanter 2018-2019 Outlook

Recommended Posts

He is a backup C, defensive liability who shoots his mouth off with career averages less than 1.5 blk, stl and assists combined. We arent talking about Shaq in his prime. He is on the waiver now and probably for a while.

If it’s the Rockets I’ll probably be in

Wouldn't he be splitting minutes with Faried and then Capela once he's back?

He can perform in 20 mins and rockets got that nasty playoff schedule

Per BBM he played ~25 minutes last season. I'm guessing we'll see lower points and boards in a 20 minute timeshare but same efficiency. Maybe he'll actually put some effort on defense with the extra energy lol

So he just signed with the Blazers!!. Any indication of how many minutes we figure that he gets in Portland??

Blazers beat a crowded field for Kanter, including the Lakers, per sources. Kanter is an important addition for Blazers, where he'll play a good share of minutes. Portland signed Kanter to a $70M offer sheet in 2015, which OKC matched.

RW blurb is saying 16-22 minutes behind Nurk. That's all Kanter needs to put up double doubles with efficiencies. Going to hold and see how it plays out.

Portland looks like they're also going all in for the playoffs... I'd think he'd be the backup C which will eat any minutes Leonard or Collins has if they want to give him decent playing time. Otherwise he's looking to have 15~ minutes instead which is not good.

I don't think it's a good spot for him. He is now a pure backup C now. He can't stretch the floor from the 3-p line. I don't think Kanter plays 4 in today's NBA.

Insurance for Nurk.
