All BS aside this dude really.....REALLY came through in epic fashion for a playoff waiver wire pickup. PPR in particular. He’ll likely fade off into non-existence again after the season but he deserves a ton of credit

Another game of Damien Williams looking much better than Ware in every single facet of the game besides maaaaybe pass blocking. He runs harder, breaks more tackles, has more burst, has better breakaway speed, sees running lanes better, and has better hands. He is just straight up much better than Ware. It's also interesting to me when a backup comes in and is clearly better than the starter, like what has been going on at practice for 4 months + that no one could tell how much better Damien Williams is than Ware?

Well u have to consider amount of opportunities available with the first stringers.   Damien was a UDFA castoff-  who had to learn the playbook and prove hes worth a spot.   He didn’t impress anyone in Miami that’s for sure.

Ware was the logical choice for backup considering he knows the offense and has the trust of the coaches.

Very interested to see how carries are split once Ware is back for the rest of the season.  It could help predict how the Chiefs value Williams going into the offseason.

D-Will just willed my team to a championship.

Going forward, he has given the Chiefs plenty to think about in terms of who the team's starting RB will be in 2019. Williams is deadly as a pass catcher, and looks to have some juice and tackle breaking ability as a rusher. Player Profiler credited him with 12 evaded tackles on 20 touches against Seattle. Doesn't look like a true workhorse back, but he should at least be considered a strong candidate to be the first man up next season.

As far as the truest “workhorse” back on their roster, he’s by far way ahead of the others and Ware isn’t even in the conversation.

Williams looked a little indecisive at times, but 90% of the time he looked like a scoring threat anywhere on the field. I think Ware is a good back and could take the dominant roll, but Williams has that "it" factor I haven't seen Ware show. People saying Williams is only what he showed in Miami are ignoring that his situation has vastly improved. His talent is still the same, but the guy could thrive in such a high powered offense.

What are the odds that the Chiefs do not either draft a bell cow, or address it via free agency?  Whoever gets that spot will be a top 5 fantasy back, regardless of who it is.  Literally no drop off between Hunt and Ware, then Ware and DWill.

Ware is too injury prone to sustain a top 5 fantasy back status.

that would be pretty foolish IMO given how bad their defense is. as we've seen you can stick anyone back there as long as mahomes is healthy. damien looks just fine back there

Agreed. Biggest threat would be Chiefs drafting someone who they deem to be more talented than D-Will.

Wow - for the first time ever I am truly impressed. Makes a lot of difference evidently who your coach is (cough - fire Gase - cough).

Chiefs are one of the more interesting situations going into next year. Obviously it comes down to whether Reed is content with what he's seen regards where they take other RBs in the draft/FA.

DWill could be a legit RB2 going into the 2019 draft if this situation is frozen in time til then.

rb1 or worthless....only two options. rb1 if no personnel changes are made.....worthless if there's legit additions.
