You have kamara, no murray: post reads "come on kamara play"

you have murray or have both or are a saints fan: post reads "rest through the bye and come back strong, we dont need kamara agains the lowly cardinals"

just like this post instead of posting your version of this post...!

Yeah, but every Kamara w/o Murray owner is also worried about a David Johnson scenario from last week.

If Kamara's active, you start your studs. But if he's not 100% healthy, and aggravates the injury after 0.2 fantasy points, you're wishing he had just been ruled inactive *even if* you don't have Murray.

I'd rather he sit out the entire season than go to the Saints.

Aren’t they 4-0 without brees?

So it’s bad to add more firepower when making a run for a super bowl with Brees final years approaching?
yeah, ok

Trying to sell Kamara to the Lev Bell owner. Need to win the next 2 games and not thrilled with Kamara’s schedule ROS. Can also see more of a timeshare with Murray from here on out.

kamara stuck in a timeshare would just be the worst thing ever! it's definitely never happened before in either of his first two seasons

Kamara was crushing it when he was in a timeshare with Ingram.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let’s not forget Kamara’s stats for last year were padded by the first 4 games without Ingram (34, 12, 19, 36 in standard) that’s 25ppg. His average for the rest of the season was 15.7ppg in standard.

His upcoming schedule is:

ARI: actually good vs RBs

BYE: 0 points

ATL: easy

TB: very bad

CAR: bad

ATL: easy

SF: worst (and in playoff week 1)

IND: bad

TEN: ok

Compare to Bell’s schedule ROS: JAX, MIA, NYG, WAS, OAK, CIN, MIA, BAL, PIT. Bell has also had his bye already and his average is weighed down by already having played the Patriots D twice.

I actually think it’s a decent move.

5-0

In the first game the offense scored 19 points against a terrible Seattle defense.

In the second game the offense scored 12 points

In the third game the offense did quite well with 31 against a terrible Bucs defense

In the 4th game the offense scored 13 points

In the 5th game the offense scored 34 against the Bears.

They've done well without him but the offense has been inconsistent at best. i doubt they would even win a single playoff game without Brees.

Kamara's snap counts % first 4 weeks last year: 81, 77, 85, 84. Avg: 81.75% After firsts 4 weeks = 55%

Kamar's snap counts this year: 76, 65, 88, 77, 69, then the injured 59% week. Avg: 75%.

Kamara's red zone touches in first 5 wees:16. Latavius: 2

Kamar's red zone touches after Ingram was back: 42. Ingram: 27.

If Kamara's role does not change, you would be making a huge mistake.

people obsess over schedule too much... kamara plays on one of the best teams in the nfl with a great o-line. No matter the opponent he is going to give you points... someone thinking about trading kamara for bell who plays on the s---y jets is hilarious

Hope they just declare him out so we can deploy Lat Murray

Pretty much the sentiment of every Kamara owner who has him cuffed with Murray, and solely Murray owners.  I feel bad for the Kamara owners without Murray tho.  But if Kamara is a go I don't know how you can fade him, but it's definitely risky since it seems that he could get limited work or get pulled early in a blowout.  I have to think Payton is actually a smart coach and focused on the big picture, and would sit both Kamara and Brees in a cake matchup w Zona, with their bye a week away.  It's not like they've had any trouble winning games without either of them thus far.  But it's the NFL so...🤷🏻‍♂️

What is the logic behind thinking he's more likely to sit because they have a bye the next week?

Couldn't one argue that a player may be more likely to want to play slightly hurt, if they know they have ~2 weeks to recover before the next game?

The logic is if he is 80% healed there may be a higher risk of reinjury. If you wait 2 more weeks, he'll be at 100%

Okay, doesn't seem that convincing.

You could say that about every week. Not just weeks before a bye.

Let's say they didn't have a bye. That would still give him another week to get healthy, if he sat this game.

Or, just sit that next game out too if you're not healthy.

Maybe there is something significant about having multiple weeks off as far as healing. And the idea is you should take advantage of the one time all year where you won't have to miss an extra game.

But again, I can see coaches and players saying "let's give it everything we have to win this game, even if we're not 100%, and then we get a 2 week break to recover".
