Either Burnes or Woodruff will be moved to the pen once Nelson comes back, Maybe even Chase Anderson gets back in if these 2 guys continue to get lit up

Woodruff has a 2.55 FIP and even Burnes hasn’t been as bad as the ERA looks. Who knows when Nelson is coming back, and how he’ll pitch. Supposedly a AAA start soon for Nelson, but I need to see him pitch well before I’d worry about that.

Yea im more worried of burnes losing his spot over woodruff, woodruff is a strong hold for me, Burnes needs that 3rd pitch baaaad

Now that the dust has settled a little, 3.1 ip, 3 k, 2 total bases, 0 runs in his last 2 appearances.

People have dumped him, and rightly so, but still a ton of long term value here, no?

Well he's bullpen bound for awhile and I expect him to be very good there.  For my team purposes I can get value with that, especially if he can get some holds from the SP position.  However, outside of that he won't have a much value until he starts again...

Yes. He needs to develop and refine his 3rd pitch/secondary, but this is a just sub elite level type of arm. He is still viewed a starter long-term by the team.

He has a bulldog mentality ... I have faith in him based on his mental toughness

Thanks for sharing this. This is good info. How did you come to know Corbin Burnes so intimately to know his mental make up? I always find it cool hearing stories from people who know athletes personally.

This dude is a train wreck, I have no idea why Milwaukee keeps trotting him out there. Another meltdown in Pittsburgh tonight.

Nothing more than a deep dynasty stash at this point in the hope that he figures it out and becomes a solid starter. Hard to justify putting him in an active slot right now despite the high K%.

But they’ll consider sending Hiura down and keep Nelson down. Smart!
