Vlad dynasty trade

Recommended Posts

8 team keep forever type of league.

Guy who won the championship is really eying Vlad and is considering giving me Arenado straight up for him.  This is a no brainer right? I should be competitive this year and even more so next.  No salary considerations or round issues.

I'm with Hootie on this one, I'm keeping Vlad in a keep forever league.

Arenado is a free agent at seasons end and if he leaves the Rockies he's not nearly as good.

His career splits on the road aren't very good at all.

Vlad is spending at least the next 6-7 years in Toronto inside of a homer dome and a division full of hitters parks.

If it was purely a move for this one season I would take Arenado, not in a keep forever though.

Yup, keep forever league Im keeping Vlad Jr.  With the looming FA of Arenado, his stock will fall.  8 years younger and arguably one of the "best" minor league prospects ever, I taking the chance.

for comparison, my Vlad offer that was instantly declined:

and that was to a top-3 title contender, for whom Springer+Hicks would patch his biggest weakness, replacing Cedric Mullen and Profar in the starting lineup.

George Springer

Luis Robert

Andrew Heaney

Aaron Hicks

Akil Baddoo

Cavan Biggio

not a bad package and that was an insta-decline. That's the kind of value  people are attributing to Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

And I don't blame them. I would have declined it, too.

Yeah no chance I would ever consider an offer like that.

I want quality not quantity.

fair, it was a pretty uninspiring offer.

you gotta 'wow' someone for a phenom like that. I heard  Adell + Soto getting tossed around somewhere.

anyway... excited to see the bat in the bigs. He is one of those hitting geniuses where every micro-movement he makes in the box is transfixing to watch

love Arenado, but honestly I'd prefer Vlad. He is that safe. And that talented. and so young.   mmmmm
