I played through a thigh contusion half way through my football season in high school. I went through extreme measures when it came to preparing to play in the game. The amount of stretching I did before the games and appliances of icy hot and the jacuzzi visits at a local 24 fitness just to warm it up before the game. It’s manageable especially when your playing with adrenaline, but definitely sensitive place to hit. It wasn’t 100 till after 2 months to fully heal after seasons end due to me never sitting out and playing on it. That’s my take on the injury anything else I ain’t a expert on Sounds about right. Of course it depends on severity and location. Sorry for another anecdotal take but I had mid-thigh contusion that caused swelling in my knee. I didn’t see a doctor so I’m not sure if the swelling was due to compensation (my knee taking on more impact) or from the actual impact of the injury. Some contusions are simply a matter of dealing with pain (no functionality issues, unless you have a low pain tolerance) and some contusions hamper your running abilities (hard to even put weight on it). Who knows what Gurley is truly dealing with and what they’re telling us?! Time will tell.

atrium 1,171
As a Gurley/Brown owner, I secretly hope that Brown flashes and Gurley's injury lingers so they keep him healthy for the playoffs.... owning Gurley is becoming a nightmare and having someone stable like Brown sounds nice right about now Gurley hasn't really looked all that elite this season either. Are we sure Brown is that much of a downgrade? Edited October 12, 2019 by atrium

Are we sure Brown is that much of a downgrade? if you own gurley you should be hoping the entire rams run game looks like poo. because if brown looks as good as i think he will play... it's just going to mean they move back to brown getting 1 out of 3 drives that they did to open the season. BGDDYKWL 1,130
It's really unfortunate but you're starting to get the feeling that this guy's shot. This is gonna be a rapid fall. The hope was there was an injury last year that he had time to heal from. But this definitely seems arthritic/degenerative.
