Why is Treinen the correct pick?  I dont do points league but it seems to me that points for closers are stacked against them.  He's looking at a cap of 8.5 points if he goes 1-2-3 with 3 k's.  Any hits or runs takes away.  A blown save (which he wont have many of) or a non-save situation can really hurt.  If he blows the S AND take the Loss, thats is -6 points not even counting the minus points for any runs, walks or hits he's given up.  Whats the point for hitters? Do they have the potential to implode on you that big in any given day?

Over a span of a week matchup, if a closer can get say, 3 clean saves, that's where it might start to add up... assuming 8ish points per save, that would be 24 points in the week.

Although, I agree -- shouldn't base the strategy on getting an elite RP, their not so dominating. In fact, I went with RP eligible starting pitchers in my RP spots in my most recent point draft.
