Scouring Wire For 2B Improvement - Cesar Hernandez for Kike, Ketel, McNeil or Goodrum?

Recommended Posts

This is for my Roto team.  I currently have Cesar Hernandez as my starting second baseman - I drafted him late and primarily for OBP, Runs and Stolen Bases (seeing thet I think I may be deficient in stolen bases).

Thoughts on any of the four I mentioned in my title replacing Hernandez?  Marte, Kike, McNeil or Goodrum?

Thank you & 100% WHIR.

McNeil is the upside pick, but I'd stick with Cesar if you need steals. He's hitting in a much improved lineup, although if he's not hitting leadoff his other stats will suffer (I'm thinking they'll go with some combo of Segura, Cutch, Harper, Hoskins & Realmuto at the top, which will hurt Cesar's value a little---he may end up hitting 7th or most likely 8th).

Help here?

there's some great talent here.     Ketel will likely provide the most stats across cats.

McNeil might hit .310.   He's legit.   But what else does he give?

Marte may very possibly provide this line:

95 runs

18 HR

65 RBI

22 SB

.370 OBP

.285 AVG

In what world will he provide that?

Offense is going to be bad. How is he going to get 95 runs

Mayyyybe he gets to 18 HRs. Career high is 14 last year.

No way .370 OBP happens. Career high is .351...last year was .332

Hasn't hit above .260 since his rookie year. .285 is not happening.

I would stick with Cesar. If anything, McNeil. But I would stick.
