Bold Predictions for the 2019-2020 Season

"Ahead of Warriors" meant "will make playoffs". That leaves 7 spots available plus Spurs

I understand.  My prediction is that of those teams only the Rockets, Jazz, Portland, and Denver can finish ahead of the Warriors.  You left off the Clippers but I believe they could finish ahead of the Warriors, particularly if they sign FA, but even if they don't.  I don't the Spurs, Lakers, or OKC finish ahead of the Warriors.  Ie I think the Warriors can be as high as a 5th-6th seed or as low as and 8th seed.  The Pelicans and Wolves may also move in the right direction and I think the team I'd leave off if they do is the Lakers.  It will be close but I think the Warriors will make it in.

There's no way in hell the Lakers, Spurs, OKC or Portland is ahead of the Warriors.  The Warriors (without Durant) just swept Portland.  Lakers missed the playoffs last year and all signs indicate FA aren't considering them.  Spurs have two players plus Pop who maximizes the potential of his young guys and non-US players.  But let's be real: DeRozan and LMA aren't better than Curry and Green et all.  OKC sucks.  Westbrook's inefficient chucking can't win.

Jazz, Rockets, Denver...Maybe.  It at least passes the "laugh test" unlike the others.

I agree with that u said about Spurs thats why i excluded Spurs from the list of teams the other guy put above Warriors but I dont agree with your statement about Blazers. Warriors swept them without Durant but with Klay and 3 of the 4 games were close so I dont think Warriors have any chance against them when they not only play face them with Durant but also without Klay.Lakers will definately sign either of Butler or Davis or both so Warriors are way above them without Klay,Durant AND LOONEY AND COUSINS who will not re-sign with Warriors as they will look for better long-term contracts with other teams. I guess Warriors will sing for sure some players but those will probably be bench warmers veterans.

Which free agent signed with the Lakers? All I've heard about so far is the Anthony Davis trade.

Its no brainer that many will be interested now AD became a Laker.

Moreover, even no big FA join Lakers this summer, Lakers >>>Durant-less&Klay-less Warriors right now.

I feel like a lot of your posts are out to lunch, but I think you'll hit on some of these next year. I especially like the Huerter, J Val and MPJ predictions. :)

I know these are bold predictions but the only ones I think will hit from the fantasy side are Fultz and Gallo. Non-fantasy a lot of those seem more likely, aside from the playoff predictions.

JJJ was borderline top 50 last season if my memory serves me correctly. Now in his 2nd season, hopefully healthy... top 40 for sure. Love that kid.

What sucks about being in the West is that I can see the Kings improving and still missing the playoffs. I just don't know who they pass up next year and that's not even taking into account the obvious improvement from the Lakers. Mavs will likely add a big FA to pair with Luka/KP this season as well.

Yeah, the West is tough. The 6th seed in the East could have the same record as like the 10th team in the West which is crazy.

De'Anthony Melton best back up PG in the league, possibly starts at SG in Memphis and wins MIP. Grizzles have already stated they're all in on him.

Brandon Ingram top 30

Now this is bold.  I don't agree with it, but I like it.

He was ranked 220 last year in 9-cat based on averages (52 gp).  If he cracks the top 80 I would be very surprised, let alone 30. Even with increases across the board in counting stats his poor ft% on large volume would drag him down.

After looking at the Washington Wizards roster I changed my mind on that Charlotte worse team in the league.

Washington 12-70........Charlotte will win at least 20.

Not that bold but I would say realistic. Just look at how bad the Wizards would be if they traded Beal.
