Well i would have hoped the NBA would have said something about this intentional resting every b2b games but they agree with kawhi and the clippers. Oh well. How many b2b does he have during fantasy playoffs?

Week 21: b2b against nets/pelicans - 3 games

Week 22: no b2b - 3 games

Week 23: b2b against hornets/pistons - 4 games

Week 24: no b2b - 3 games

Hope this helps.

optimistic prediction:

clips are fighting for playoff seeding and only rests Kawhi for one game

less optimistic and probably realistic prediction:

sits out one game in week 21, sits out BOTH in week 23 due to weaker opponents (Raps did the same last season).

The Los Angeles Clippers have been fined $50,000 for statements that were inconsistent with Kawhi Leonard's health status

maybe less DNP in the future but who knows

Yea but it's the team that is owned by a billionaire, 50k is like 5 cents. Either way fine or no fine, load management is not going away after teams have had success with it in the playoffs.

Fined 50k lol hope that teaches the second la team a lesson

Lmao are you serious? Steve Ballmer is worth 50 BILLION. He probably has 50k lying around in his couch lol. It's not even chump change for him, it's pocket lint.

With this performance in his only game of the week, our #1 pick, unaffected by any acute injuries, posted a net negative this week

Kawhi is such an advanced load manager that he just coasts through the first 3 quarters and erupts in the 4th

So based off this enlightening Load Management back to back news. Where SHOULD he have been drafted ?

With load management in 9 cat he is still 7th overall in total value. Average value he is 5th. I think in most cases he was drafted below those, so he is returning solid value from a fantasy standpoint.

What's his trade value then? The more savvy managers probably won't take him because of the limited games he'll play.

He’s returning 7th overall value in 9 cat WITH load management and having his minutes monitored. If anything he has less risk than others of injury because of it. Unless you are getting a top 6 player in a multi player deal and are already stacking games for the playoffs, I don’t know why you would trade him. His monitoring/load management is already built in to that top 7 value.

Depends on format. He's much riskier in H2H because of the chance of sitting out during playoffs. However he's easily worth another top 5 player in roto because missed games don't matter as much and in fact by the end of the season you're actively looking to manage your played games.
