Jamal Murray 2019-2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Just slight improvements would be all he needs to unlock more value...if he can maintain or even improve the 1.2 steals and 0.5 block...5 assists, and just a little more 3's to 2.5 or 3.  Seems unlikely given the depth, but possible.  The easiest pathway would be for him to improve his 3 point % which would increase his FG, 3's, and points.   Say he can make 2.5 threes versus 1.9, then his ppg is over 20.

if you are going off numbers the only difference between lillard and jamal is the increase in fg attempts. first 3 years of  lillard and jamal basically identical. then an increase from 16 to 19 fg attempts is what chanced lillard from 20 pt scored to 25+. % didn't get any better nothing crazy outside usage. now can jamal been that lead dog that everyone is keying on is tbd.

jokic has been playing pretty bad so a few more attempts for murray isnt out of the question. So I do think thats the only way he can increase on his stats.

den doesn't need murray to play like lillard even though if they needed it I think he could produce similar type line.

there is a lot to like in this situation as his value looks safe and has that lillard type upside if they decide to have murray take on more. its a possibility. maybe he gets more usage late in the year when they are gearing up for playoffs and trying to condense that depth. we have seen that one twisted ankle can make  a player go from waiver trash to top 50 or better value. Murray went down hard holding his hip. Monte Morris is in.

*Murray questionable with a "trunk contusion"

LOL yeah this guy is similar to Lillard, but since Jokic is in his way, he can't be the lead guard on the bad team.  What he can be though is a guy who has improved every single year, and hasn't met his ceiling yet.  Keep sleeping on him, and he'll surprise you.  He should be a solid player, probably a sometimes all star.  Lillard took a jump from semi inefficient scorer to a winning leader.  I'm not sure many anticipated that, but he did it and it was pretty cool.  Dude has the fire in his eyes.  Jamal I don't know, but we'll see.  If he gets that next step, the Nuggets will be simply amazing instead of just really good.

Not watching the game but what is going on with him? I see his min played go up E wry quarter but he hasn't done anything on the stat sheet since about 6 min left in the 2nd

(oops, he took a shot at the 10 min mark of the 3rd...🙄)

Don’t own Jamal anywhere. Just wanted to wish everyone a Murray Christmas! This is coming from a Jokic owner who’s happy that he scores on most of the shots the Joker passes to him. 😬

Really bad ankle sprain, probably out 4 weeks.  Monte Morris time?

Depends on league but yes.  PJ Dozier, MVP of the G-League, is also very good and could be relevant, or at minimum worth a stream.  MPJ also has a chance here, but will likely get pulled and play low minutes if he f-cks up so hard to start him with confidence, but decent stream in h2h.

So anywhere between 1-4 weeks..

Love how vague they are.

Earlier this season, he missed 6 games from an ankle sprain.

He’s a tough dude. I wouldn’t stress. He’ll be back soon enough.

why is there no discussion on this guy at all?

Just returned from injury and put up a good game. Anyone who watches Nuggets games have insight to his ROS value?
