Best draft value(s) to this point?

Recommended Posts

Hope this isn't in the wrong place. If it is, please move it. Thanks.

I thought it might be fun to look over my team and see who my bargain picks were and how they were doing, when I got the idea for this thread.

Here's a few:

12-team snake
RB Adrian Peterson (176th overall, 15th round
WR DJ Chark Jr. (152nd overall, 13th round)
WR Courtland Sutton (104th overall, 9th round)
RB David Montgomery (56th overall, 5th round)

All remain on my team since draft day. Anyone else have some success stories from their sleepers in drafts that you'd want to share?

I got Josh Jacobs at the top of the 5th and Lamar Jackson in the 12th both have been an amazing value.

We're calling David Montgomery a steal so far in the 5th?  Really?

His last two games have been positive, and at the time of the draft, Monty was going in the 3rd rounds in some...

I'm not calling him a bargain, per se. But if the Bears do commit to the run he could hold some solid value ROS. It's just impossible to say with that team.

Funny someone should mention Josh Jacobs... I just missed out on him, which is why I went with Monty. ah well... I have faith down the stretch, especially since it looks like the Bears are not going to be too competitive.

Kamara - 1st, 11th (keeper)

Zeke - 2nd, 14th (keeper)

Kittle - 3rd, 35th

Godwin - 4th, 38th

Kupp - 5th, 59th

Coleman - 6th, 62nd

Nothing crazy, like Pats D in the double digit rounds, but I think (and thought at the time) great value for those spots in the draft.

Kupp and Godwin certainly stand out.

Conversely, in another league, I didn't really want Gurley and OBJ, but had to take them for what I thought was great value - 17.5% of budget for Gurley, 22% for OBJ.

Hasn't proven to be the case.

Ironically, the team with better values sits at 4-4, while the team with Gurley and OBJ is 5-3

Carlos Hyde in the 14th round. Also Ezekiel Elliott with the 8th overall pick in round 1 wasn't bad for the later half of the first round.

Can’t compare Zeke to CMC.

Jacobs in the 5th, Kupp in the 6th, Kittle in the 7th (as my keeper), Sutton in the 11th, Chark as a FA...and I’m still in 9th place.

True but CMC was a top 3 pick which is why I said Zeke wasn't a bad value for the later part of the first round. Arguably the only comparable value around there was Dalvin Cook (who also went in the later first round in my draft). When Conner, Bell, Hopkins, and DJ went before Zeke, Zeke was a value. CMC qualifies as a value no matter where he was picked (even at #1). But in snake drafts, at most 3 teams even got a chance to consider CMC.
