Daniel Gafford 2019-2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

WCJs is averaging 28 minutes and he's the only other center on the roster right now so I think 20 minutes is reasonable. Plus if Wendell gets in foul trouble or Gafford gets hot then he could see even more.

Wendell has been the bulls best player so his role going forward is safe but he does get himself into foul trouble

I wouldn’t waste a high waiver wire priority on Gafford but definitely worth a pick up to see if he can keep it up

I missed out on Richaun Holmes by being too skeptical of a breakout game. Not making the same mistake here, worth a shot.

I have Moe Wagner but seriously considering dropping him for Gafford. Halfway decent bigs are hard to come by.

Too early to tell what he’s gonna be but he’s prolly locked down the back up center spot(18-20 min). Now what he does with it completely up in the air. Judging what he did from college I think were looking high fg% blks Rebs type of guy. 6-8 pts 6-7 Rebs 1 blk per game?

I play in a 14 teamer and scooped him up real quick as a speculative add

Can we expect 20-25 minutes? Not familiar with Boylen. I don't want to drop Wagner for him yet. lol

High energy rim runner, very mobile/athletic.

If this happens then yes, just not sure if it will, but he's a beast...plain n simple...I've had him starred on my watchlist since October, nice preseason...

Carter keeps insisting he is a power forward. At 6'10", he was most compared to Horford out of Duke. He is undersized at the C. He shot 40%+ from 3 on limited volume at Duke. Lauri has been struggling. Young is 32.

Is there any scenario in which Carter plays alongside Gafford for even 5 minutes a game? What about situationally, against big teams like the Lakers?

Wendell has been pushed into the 5 both college/NBA. In his one year at Duke 42 attempted 3s - 41%. Gafford may help move this along but don’t count it this year

Wendell hasn’t really shown any ability to shoot in fact it looks really bad when he does lol but more importantly Lauri is the crown jewel of the Jimmy Butler trade. Garpax need him to be good so they will give him every opportunity to do that

Now if Lauri was to sit a week or so bc of his oblique injury then maybe there’s a chance Carter/Gafford happens but I just don’t see it while Markkanen is active

Drop Moe. Grab this cat or at the very least Hayes if you’re looking for a flier

He needs to develop his game. Not ready to beat Drummond in a pick & roll. Was always looking for a lob pass.... Not the same energy of the Bucks game too.

Longterm project, but a John Henson comparison isn't senseless.

worth a speculative add for anybody looking for traditional big man stats, especially blocks.  Probably should be owned in 12 teamers until Carter Jr is back, who appeared to sustain a very bad ankle injury.  He had to basically carried off.
