Who gets your vote for non-injury related Bust of the Year?

Recommended Posts

I'd have to say OJ Howard!!!  I'd say Saquon but his is probably considered "injury related" as he did miss some time and likely has been slowed by the injury ever since (although the latter part might be debatable as he insists he's been fully healthy).

Probably Odell Beckham.  I know he was injured so he doesn't qualify according to this post but Saquon Barkley had only 2 games all season with over 20 points and he was the #1 overall pick in many drafts.  Barkley only misses a couple of games.

OBJ was a top 12 overall pick and wr5

He is currently wr 25 with 149pts

OJ Howard was a top  50 pick and TE5

He is currently TE 36 with 56pts

So OJ Howard is the bigger bust because he is not even fantasy relevant.

You can't even put him in a lineup in any format 😂

The top 3

Bell

OBJ

Mixon

I forgot all about Le'Veon Bell.  He has to be the top one because he was likely drafted higher than Beckham and the others in most drafts.

Correction Antonio Brown is the biggest bust. 1 game and gone

Smart owners stayed away from that toxic situation.

I've got to say probably OJ Howard for where he was touted.  Guys like OBJ, Bell and maybe Baker aren't far behind for the hype they had and their results.

I still feel like David Johnson is the biggest bust of the year though.  Yeah, I know he had an injury so doesn't qualify.  But by all accounts he's been healthy the past few games and he lost his job to Kenyan Drake.  And not only lost the job, has basically been cast to the bench.  Pretty bad for a guy that was going in the 5-10 overall range in most drafts.

As soon as I heard about Brown's feet, I put him on my "do not draft" list.  I just had a feeling that this would be a lost season for him.

Somewhere someone drafted the following team and thought they were going to murder their league:

QB - Cam Newton

WR - Antonio Brown

WR - Odell Beckham Jr

RB - David Johnson

RB - Joe Mixon

TE - OJ Howard

Flex - James Conner

AB has had a TD in all of his games. Not sure if he is a bust.

OBJ IMO is the biggest bust. Not only was he a high draft pick, you also have to play him weekly thinking you can get points out of him eventually, which doesn't happen. At least with OJ and AB, they will not lose you games cause they should be on the waivers...

Collectively the Cleveland Browns are a bust given the hype and expected production from all of their skills players

In round two in my league, there was the following run:

OBJ, JuJu, Bell, Mixon.

The pick before? Dalvin Cook. The pick after? Travis Kelce (that was mine).

If we're going to set aside JuJu as being due to Roethlisberger's injury, then the answer has to be OBJ. Mixon has pulled it together over the last few weeks, Bell has been mediocre but not terrible, and they have both outscored OBJ in total points.

Just to add another name in - the next pick after Kelce was Gurley. I suspect than in a couple of leagues he went really high, and that would make him another candidate. In my league you have to wait a couple more rounds before you get to OJ Howard, but he's  candidate - I'd add in Josh Gordon too. Maybe even David Montgomery.
