All IP count if you start the day under in CBS commissioner leagues.. Same thing if you have one outfield game left. You get credit for all 5 outfield spots the final day and finish 4 over. I have done this for years and in one league today is the day I am using 9 SP to close out my IP in a league. Starting with 595 IP with a 600 limit.

Yeah that is true of all platforms.  The third party database they employee has to gather data over a 24 hour period as a set unit software-wise.  Sure you can "see" up to the minute stats but they can't be added to the official daily totals until after the day ends and so are added in a collective data packet.  Always has been this way.  Software coding and what they can and cannot do with it dictates fantasy sports.

True for all the larger platforms. But some of the smaller more customizable platforms, like OnRoto, can cut off the stats once the max is met. I don't know how they did it, but they did it the one year we moved over to them.

That would suck. How do they pick and choose what IP to use? Dont get wins from SP if they give them 2 IP each?

That is both interesting and funny at the same time.  The whole operation is probably run by one guy out of his basement sitting there monitoring the last day live all day long, hah.

Which website posts lineups the earliest?  Sick of losing out on stats by having players in my lineup that are not starting.

This is the gold standard for me.  They seem to list them just a hair before the platform:

https://www.baseballpress.com/lineups

Also the platforms themselves list these things.  On Yahoo if there is a sudden change you can get an alert on their phone app.

Might as well get this in now...

If there are any regular season games that are played on Monday, September 28 (or later), Yahoo will NOT be counting those statistics...  Not sure about the other platforms, but pretty sure some of them do the same thing...

So the Cardinals doubleheader on Monday will NOT count for Yahoo even though the Cardinals will have only played 58 games.... correct?

Thank you!

It makes sense since all platform software is set-up for weekly increments to accommodate both h2h and weekly leagues.  Also to give the owners of Cardinal and Brewers players an extra DAY of stats for the final week would be unfair to the owners of the other players. Also I think all platforms announce pre-season the final day of the season so to shift that because some idiot Cardinal players and/or staff went out to a casino and caught covid doesn't seem right.  Lose some stats because those games had to be pushed back past the official end of the season?  Blame those guys for that.

I'm considering starting a fantasy league that will run through the MLB playoffs since the season was so short and I'm looking for advice. Does anyone know of a good platform that offers this? Also, what type of formats are there and what works best?

Thanks

Sorry if this is a repost.  I can’t find another thread but I imagine it has to have happened to others who use ESPN.   In my 14 team roto ESPN league ( I’m commish) , the scoring for pitching in the final standings reverted to all ties for ERA and WHIP thereby giving everyone 7.5 pts. This is obviously an error.    This changed the final standings and is flat incorrect.    I assumed it would fix and was simply a glitch.  It hasn’t been fixed and I don’t see any clear contact info for ESPN but a bunch of nonsense faqs.      Anyone else have this happen?  I’m holding leaguesafe until glitch fixes.

I’m guessing it’s because no one hit the innings limit. Might have to reset and then see if it refreshes the standings.
