12/15/19 - Falcons at 49ers Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

Falcons had 1 play left to get a win and the 49ers literally let Julio just slide into the middle of the field

That last play should count as points allowed for the 49ers D correct?  Yahoo still has their points allowed at the 21-27 range, rather than the 28-34 range

i think it could be interpreted as "it happened on a turnover on a kick return (a DST play) therefore the points are against the DST". I think?

lol you know that meaningless defensive TD just impacted a bunch of fantasy match ups.

Not sure many people were starting the Falcons defense in SF.

It impacts the 49ers D/ST with points against. And impacts gambling for sure. Impacted Mostert with a lost fumble. A lot of implications on that play.

Is ESPN not going to count that TD against the 49ers D/ST?

Found this online

Beginning with the 2017/19 season, offensive points gained by pick 6's or fumble recoveries for TD's will NOT have any effect on your D/ST score. However, special team's points still count against your D/ST score (i.e. a punt return for a TD against your D/ST).

I've never seen an ESPN D/ST actually score in that manner.

Or I haven't been paying any attention to D/ST the last couple years.
