Mike Boone 2019 Outlook

NUTS!   Was rolling with Boone.  Not sure I can risk now and may have to start Singletary today in tough matchup. At least I know he gets the snaps....

Hope for some more news prior to 4PM kickoff.

Mattison is testing his ankle in individual drills, so even If he goes, he's suddenly gonna shoulder the load in a top 3 rushing attack?

Sure. Ok.

What’s the move here fellas?

It depends on how late your potential pivot players tip off.

Mine tips on SNF so I'm still playing the waiting game.

I'm starting Boone over perriman at flex. I doubt mattison suits up

If I had Perriman I would start him over Boone

I've got both Boone and Mattison so I guess I could just start one or the other come Monday. That said, one could cannabilize the other. Or punt this whole thing and go D. Washington.

You should play Washington if Jacobs sits. Has Jacobs been ruled out yet?  ..

IMO this Minnesota situation with the Mattison news just went south for Boone fans,

Guys mattison also worked off to the side yesterday with the strength coach. Not much of a difference today.

Mattison for sure is rushing back out of fear and he will get a setback. Haven’t heard of anyone who hasn’t practiced in two weeks to go to a full time starring role. Boone is a top-25 play minimum in a flex role plus

Jacobs has been ruled out.

No doubt that D. Washington is the safer play.

I have till 4 pm EST tmrw to  make  a decision. Hopefully something more definitive around Mattison emerges.

Same here. I currently have Washington in as my RB2 and Boone in my FLEX, but I also currently have D.J. Moore on my bench and will throw him in at FLEX if there's a chance that Mattison plays.

Bloom's opinion...

Sigmund Bloom Retweeted Chris Tomasson

I'm not worried about this, but I'm not going to talk you out of backing off Boone if it freaks you out. Not expecting a rookie to get a lot of work Monday with only a limited practice "testing" out ankle Saturday. But it's your team and roll with what you feel/think

Sigmund Bloom added,

Chris Tomasson @christomasson
Vikings RB Dalvin Cook is not practicing with shoulder injury. As noted earlier in the week he is expected to be out Monday vs Green Bay. RB Alexander Mattison (high ankle sprain) is at practice and testing ankle in individual drills.

I've seen Pro Football Doc Chao thinks Mattison and Cook will both be out...

Also, FWIW, Dr Jesse Morse thinks there is a zero percent chance Mattison and/or Cook are active Monday...

Can also go to about the 11:50 mark in this video for more analysis on Mattison's injury:

Yeah I think this Mattison stuff is noise. "Testing the ankle"? Who cares. He is not going to be carrying the load after not getting a single full practice or even a full limited practice. He's doing individual drills. That's nothing.

I would be shocked if Boone doesn't get the majority of the touches.

The bigger risk is if he will deliver and finish the whole game healthy himself.

Even if Mattison is active, i'd be amazed if Boone isn't the primary back. Mattison will have had virtually no practice in two weeks and only just managed being healthy enough to be active. With Cook confirmed out this is surely Boone's backfield.

May have already been posted but pretty strong endorsement from the QB. Also makes it sound like he expects him to get work:

Quote from Tuesday, earlier this week.
