zen25 96
Would they be able to get Fournette for cheaper than Freeman. Fournette is in great shape and did well last season. Since Tarik Cohen is speciality pass catcher, Freeman's value could come down a bit.

Hunt trade would be positively seismic in the magick foosball gig ... would easily vault Chubb to 4th overall (possibly higher if one loves the kid's game), and Khunt would jump right into the King Hendry/Cook tier. More likely AP and let their younger backs develop. More names being tossed around: Gus Edwards Royce Freeman Leonard Fournette Kareem Hunt Marlon Mack If I had my wish though, there's only one man I would want there: Mike Motherf*ckin' Boone.

Don't think the Browns would even entertain the possibility of trading Hunt for whatever the Bears could offer. He's a big part of their plans.

But I agree his value would skyrocket.

Khunt's ppr chops are immense, and he'd snag at least 50, even with Cohen lurking. ... of course, Nagy - so, there's yer caveat.

There's not even a hypothetical situation where he would be a reliable fantasy option. He's a good real life player, and a nice weapon, but he's not going to be a traditional RB in this league. I've been big on Gus Edwards of the Ravens since his rookie season in 2018 and think that he would be a perfect addition for early down work until Montgomery returns. (if he returns this season) He also likely wouldn't cost a high draft pick. The Bears could also trade for someone like Leonard Fournette or Marlon Mack but I think they'll either trade for a guy like Edwards or Royce Freeman or sign Devonta Freeman. Patterson is a rb/wr hybrid, gadget and special teams player. He is useful but would never be the main rb.

Patterson is a great return specialist and the Bears have used him at the goal-line before to vulture td's but he doesn't have the build to sustain being used too often. Edwards or Royce Freeman of Denver would be logical trade targets because they both have the ability to be starters and likely wouldn't cost more than a 4th round draft pick. Edwards especially is very expendable now after the Ravens drafted Dobbins to be their rb of the future and they also still have Justice Hill from last year. Freeman is expendable because Denver has Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay. Edited August 26, 2020 by sjm76
isuckatdfs 94
bears could also just give pierce a shot and see what he has to offer. Bears are not really in contention anyways for 2020 no matter what they think. They would be best off taking a 1-15 for fields or lawrence.

I think the Bears are/were planning to give Montgomery another season to show that he can be a solid starter after he faltered last year and then spend a 1st or 2nd rounder on a rb in next year's draft if he plays like last year. isuckatdfs 94
the bears would be beyond stupid to not go qb in round 1. Even lance of north dakota state would be worth the shot.

They had a 2/3 chance to land a franchise QB and whiffed horribly.
