Eh, they got Drummond for free, basically.  Why not.

Sucks for us though (Nance/TT owner).

Excuse me, i am french, what is buyout? I read trade deadline is over but some players can move again ?!?
Thanks you to explain me

Quote

A buyout clause or release clause refers to a clause in a contract that imposes an obligation on another organisation wishing to acquire the services of the employee under contract to pay the (usually substantial) fee of the clause to the organisation which issued the contract and currently employs (in professional sports also colloquially termed "owns") the employee.

Quote
How does a buyout work NBA?
Waivers is a 48-hour period where teams are allowed to bid on a player's contract, and if they win the bid, that player no longer enters unrestricted free agency. Instead, he signs with the team that placed the winning bid.

So all in all, there are no clear cut winners.

Drummond went from one bad team to another. Front court still congested

Being a dick, Casey may still start thon maker rather than Wood.

Malik Beasley is a pure scorer given opportunity but now DAR is here, Wolves will play him a lot and give him lots of playing time to make KAT happy.

Need to wait until Napier’s first game in Washington to see if he does well. Scott brooks is known for dicking players around as well. Just because he was top 100 in wolves does not mean he will be as successful in Washington. Beal still present. Hachimura and Wagner set to return.

Napier is gonna get his minutes.

Wiz are all offense.

His assists are still going to be there.

Think we'll see their line up looking like:

PG: Napier

SG: Beal

SF: TBJ

PF: Hachimura

C; Mahinmi

Ish is gonna start, he leads the NBA in assist/TO among guards that play more than 20 min.

I wish this was the case, but Napier is coming off the bench. Still a good source for assist, but no popcorn stuff.

Why would the Lakers sign him again? He didn’t work out the first time!

Christian Wood is about to go off. No chance Thons minutes are anywhere near Woods.

Sure does. But he does get minutes, and just historically detracts from other PGs' minutes.  It's also not like Napier is a world-beater either.  Just happened to have some good games with the Nets and Wolves due to injuries/no competition.

Also dunno how much TBJ gets affected by other players -- Bertans is an incredibly effective gunner off the bench, while Bryant will return at some point to shift minutes, and I can imagine Rui playing SF alongside randos like Pasecniks and Schofield.

Haha, I wonder if he likes JR more, since he's working out for the Lakers too.  :P

I would not be surpised if it is Boston that gets him.  He fits their bench scoring need.

Boston mind as well be his final stop. Really fitting.

If I was IT, I would never go back to Boston, they did him dirty, basically ruined his career.

He had a pretty bad falling out with BOS. Doubt he wants to go back there.

I honestly do not think LeBron wants him and we all know hes the GM of the Lakers. It was reported that LeBron was mad that all Cleveland got from moving Kyrie Irving was this guy and seeing him play the last couple of seasons, he looks washed. He can still drive to the rim a bit, but more times than not he gets blocked and lord knows he cant defend anyone. If his shots arent falling, and those games where he gets hot are very rare at this point in his career, then hes basically useless.

I put more blame on LeBron & Kevin Love than I do Boston. But you're not wrong.
