2020 NBA Trade Deadline News and Rumors

Recommended Posts

The Rockets offered Capela to the Nets in a deal that would have included Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince, league sources tell O’Connor. We’ve heard Houston wants to get a wing and another big man for Capela, so the ask makes sense, but it’s not a surprise that Brooklyn turned it down.

He's also making $26M a year and kind of hurts our financial flexibility for 2021.

That's not the point.  Raptors are shedding Gasol, Lowry, Ibaka in the upcoming year and will be have enough to attract Giannis if he wants to come.  The only players Raptors are keeping are VanVleet, Pascal, and OG.  The reason is there are only a few player right now that can guard the likes of Kawhi, PG, Lebron and OG is one of them (technically Pascal can too but they are saving his energy for offense).  Jrue will be nice but there is no point of trading for him when you have 2 serviceable PG right now.  If anything Raptors should get someone with potential that is Jaylen Brown and it has been talks that Raps could trade Gasol for Brown.

You have no idea what you are talking about #fakerapfan

Raps are not trading Gasol what is hard to understand? Gasol is needed to shut down Embiid if they meet plus hes another play maker

Yeah but you cannot act like it's a lock we will sign a stud in 2021.  Despite the core we have built and the presence of Masai, the likelihood of signing someone in 2021 that would be better than what Jrue currently is is quite low IMO.

I get not wanting to take on the salary of a bad contract with an overpaid player, but Jrue Holiday is a stud and would be a great fit for the team structurally and culturally.

You're on drugs if you think:

1. The Raptors will sacrifice future assets for a 29 year old PG when they already have Lowry and FVV on the roser

2. The Celtics are going to trade us Jaylen Brown for Marc Gasol

Stop being a clown.

Anybody feeling a lil overwhelmed lol. Seems like there soooo many **** to monitor/keep track of this year. So many teams jocking for position/potential pieces on the move 😭

All perennial loser teams that always take up playoff space but never amount to anything (Mavericks, Timberwolves, Nets, Rockets)

News flash, no superstar free agent is ever moving to Toronto, let alone a 25-year-old soon-to-be back-to-back MVP.

Not sure whats funny about that. Embiid completely shrinks when he faces the Raps, and yes, Gasol is one of our better playmakers on the team.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Knicks have fired president Steve Mills, and that Scott Perry has taken over basketball operations in New York.

Shams adds that owner James Dolan has begun interviewing for President of Basketball Operations position, while ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that "Dolan is targeting Toronto president Masai Ujiri to ultimately oversee New York's operations." Ujiri is under contract through 2020-2021 in Toronto.

This has nothing to do with trade rumors, but how do you not keep Terence Davis? I can't see OG as a bigger piece than him right now.

Now if Dolan would only fire himself, the Knicks might get somewhere

Not sure how to feel about the Heat being suitors for Iguodala. It's just... It's bigger fish that needs to be fried. But ok.
