Trevor Ariza 2019-2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

Hope my waiver for him pushes through, replacing DFS for Ariza.

Ariza in a 30mpg role has always been a nice combination - people have to remember that he has been drafted consistently in the middle rounds for so many years because of his 2 3s (back when the NBA as a whole were taking less 3s) and 2 steals per game production. He may have lost a little step here and there but 2 3s and 1.5 steals should be attainable, along with 11 to 15 ppg along with decent rebounds. If he reaches those, I'll be more than happy and you could do worse for an end of the bench guy.

Hmmmm. dropping Joe Harris for Ariza a good play?

His average nine cat ranking this year in a s---y situation isn't that much worse than Joe's. Now he's in a much better situation so...

Indeed and there's little risk either.

im scared he gets same # of shots as baze. he needs like 8-9 shots a game.

The difference is Ariza can shoot. Bazemore was such an odd fit there. Ariza will get heavy minutes and should be rejuvenated getting out of that’s mess that is the Kings

Bazemore can't shoot it like Ariza. The Blazers are dying for more shooters. Ariza couldn't have landed in a better spot at this point in his career.

Reckon Bazemore was getting shots and minutes while he was in Portland so why doesn't Ariza get his?

CJ out but just means less attention will be paid to Ariza once back.

He should put up top 80 numbers..

Must roster in 12+ Teams.

Just keep in mind that CJ is out

He'll play great when CJ is backl. Yall act like just cause a player is out and another player goes off that he can't play at a high level when the player comes back. Ariza is not a scorer. He's a steals specialist with who hits 3s at a high rate. He would be ranked in the top 60 averaging 12-13 ppg 5-6 rpg 1.5 spg while being low turnover 80% from the line and making 2.3 threes a game. I think thats possible since portlands wing depth is not really there.

Of course he's not going to score 25+ and 8+ rebounds.

12-15pts

4-6 reb

1-2 steals

2-3 threes

Perfect end of bench player.

Before everybody flips their wigs. McCollum our time, Nurkic on the way back, he’ll even Caleb Swanigan is getting minutes. Let’s see what everybody does when healthy. We know Lillard and McCollum chuck like 20 shots a piece. Carmelo gets his 15 and then Whiteside and the rest.

He’s definitely on a heater right now. He has potential to be a 12-15pts+5reb+stocks/3s guy.

I’ve owned Ariza in the past when he was playing well on the Rockets. He’s prone to some bad shooting nights so keep that in mind.

Otherwise, top 75 value is definitely achievable.
