Kenyan Drake 2020 Outlook

Recommended Posts

I think they're just taking things easy with him in the buildup. Drake wore a boot last off season as well.

FWIW I have Edmonds but I think Drake is fine atm

we'll see tomorrow on the injury report... obviously not reassuring from the coach.

I'm not worried about him not being probable.

Just curious on his number of touches for Week 1. Do we think they'll be more split between him and Edmonds, or is this just straight coach speak?

From PFT:

The 49ers currently are practicing outside in Santa Clara. The air quality index apparently met the threshold for the team to practice in the smoke but not by much.

Only 45 minutes before Friday’s practice, the air quality index rated at 194 in Santa Clara due to the fires in northern and central California, Matt Maiocco of NBCSportsBayArea.com reports. The threshold for the NFL to cancel practices or postpone games is 200.

The NFL makes the final decision on games, and the 49ers are in communication with the league office about the conditions for Sunday’s game, according to Maiocco.

“If it gets to 200, that would be a huge deal,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said during an appearance on KNBR on Friday. “I know when it’s above 150 that does affect a certain group of people that happen to be higher risk, pre-existing conditions, if it got above 150 you could lose a few players, but 200 is the mark where you can’t go out there.”

The NFL uses the EPA’s website to monitor the air quality index, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN, and is prepared to relocate a game if there “definitive evidence” the AQI will stay above 200 for a significant period of time.

“I’m sure that discussions are going on right now to figure out the best and safest option,” Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said, via Weinfuss. “I don’t know what that would be at this point, but I’m sure they’ll come to a good place.”

i would be fine with them relocating or switch home games with SF. just as long they dont cancel the game

With crowds not an issue, trading venues should be an easy fix. They better figure it out fast though

That would've made way too much sense.

Now, they get to f*** half the people who play fantasy (so most of their fans) by possibly calling off a 4:25 kickoff after 1 pm games have started...

I would imagine at this point its too late to switch venues. Ironic/sad that the first postponed or cancelled game of 2020 is not because of covid.

I wonder what the chances of the game being cancelled are?

Monday is on the table, as well - the venue will not shifted, though - it's either Santa Clara or bust 🤷‍♂️

I can’t decide if this is NFL doomporn or an actual possibility

It’s over sensitive times but if it’s a possibility they should just move the location.

152 now...Fires dying out because there’s nothing left to burn?

It's me blowing Everest's air into the air quality meter machine. I'm toast if this game is not played.

Pretty sure it is not getting canceled.  They could move it to Monday night--in AZ.  If the fires get too nasty.

The air quality where I’m at has pushed 300+ yet I’m confident I can go out and drop 200 yards rushing against that 49ers run defense out here.

I’m built different though...

saw some footage from the Bay Bridge area last night ... wtf?  APOCALYPTIC, I TELL YA!

seriously, though ... couldn't even see the cars, could barely make out the headlights - how the eff is that gonna translate to "acceptable"?  lest it looks worse than the meter reads 😳

talk of the El Lay game being affected, as well ...
