His ceiling is capped at RB2 at best now. people seem to think that this rookie is going to challenge Bell for a 50% of the work...I think its very likely that once Bell acclimates to the playbook he will take on majority of work. 60-40 type split. And in the KC offense. thats like having Kareem Hunt
iretirefromfantasy 1,154
The Chiefs seemed to be dueling with the Dolphins for Bell's services, but it's not surprising the reigning Super Bowl champs won out. Due to the league's COVID-19 protocols, Bell will be ineligible to suit up against the Bills on Monday. That leaves Week 7 against the Broncos as his Chiefs debut. The question immediately becomes the workload delineation in the Chiefs' backfield, as No. 32 overall pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire has sputtered since an impressive opener vs. the Texans' bottom-basement run defense. That has been especially true in early-down/short-yardage situations, where Bell figures to receive immediate opportunities. Bell will also be a threat to CEH's bread-and-butter pass-catching work. Even if CEH remains the lead back in a committee, this obviously devastates his RB1 value, and perhaps even knocks him out of the RB2 ranks. This is not a LeSean McCoy-style signing. Bell probably has more left in the tank than Adam Gase would lead you to believe, while coach Andy Reid unlocks running backs like few others. Bell could claim No. 1 duties and render CEH a COP back. CEH would do well to put on a show vs. the Bills' underachieving defense. Bell arrives right as the Chiefs are losing LG Kelechi Osemele for the season.
JetsAwesome 638
fellas think about this - Chiefs didn't fight to bring him in to be on lesser end of a timeshare with rookie. Sorry bell is getting a significant role here. If he looks great coming out of the box who knows?

Bell will be better, maybe an RB2 but this is a RBBC not a 1A/1B.

Mahomes likes to put on a show, look at how long he holds the pocket only to throw it 40 yds down field. Theres too many mouths to feed outside Hill and Kelce to me big fantasy options. Bell could see some receiving work, and if he sees the endzone all power to him, but CEH isnt going away. You can be optimistic and still be realistic. Whatever shares you have of Bell congrats, but youre not getting a sure fire RB1 at all

Cardiak 190
This better be Bell's backfield after his debut. Keep CEH on the sidelines until next year.

JetsAwesome 638
CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRERB, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS New Chiefs RB Le'Veon Bell will threaten Clyde Edwards-Helaire's No. 1 status in Kansas City's backfield. It's, of course, possible Bell does far more than threaten CEH's No. 1 status. He could take it outright, though it won't happen in Week 6. Bell is ineligible to play against the Bills on Monday because of the NFL's COVID-19 guidelines. He will make his debut in Week 7 vs. the Broncos. Bell arrives as Edwards-Helaire has finished under 65 yards rushing in four straight games, failing to average more than 4.0 yards per carry in any contest since Week 1. Bell's arrival is particularly bad news since, at least in theory, he is also a well above-average pass-catching back. Bell will be a threat on all three downs, and it is up to CEH to make a stand beginning Monday against Buffalo. Realistically, CEH will probably begin in the RB20-28 range for Week 7, with Bell likely to get an immediate shot on early downs/in the red zone. It will then be a week-by-week affair from there.
