Bingo ..

Tom Brady says yikes ...

You don't think Brady would have done more than JImmy G did if given the same supporting cast/situation in the 4th Q with 2.5 in the Superbowl?

He couldnt get his team a playoff bye with a cupcake schedule.

He couldnt win the WC game, turning over the ball and ending the game with a pick 6. So why would he have performed better in the SB?😂

Who was Brady throwing to? I can't remember...

No gronk, Edelman hurt and old, Mohammed Sanu hurt, n'keal Harry hurt and a rookie.

The Patriots have been trying to find WRs for years.  It's tough for new guys to learn that complex system--especially when Brady keeps skipping the offseason program.

Among the guys they have brought in were Antonio Brown, Demaryius Thomas, Jordan Matthews, Amendola, Chris Hogan.  So it's not like they haven't been trying to get WRs in there.

The Tom Brady disrespect is strong in this thread. If you watched him last year you would know he's not washed. It's not his fault they keep picking bad receivers. Kneal Harry was a terrible pick from the beginning. Without Brady, Belichick would be nothing.

Aren't elite QB's supposed to ELEVATE the level of play around them? Sound like a bunch of excuse making and it doesnt hold up to the fact they had a 12-4 record.  Mr. "Clutch" as you labeled him wasn't clutch when it counted last season. 😂

Brady has carried that offense for years until it was finally so talent deprived there is only so much that a person could do, even an elite one like Brady.

You keep pointing to last season when his supporting cast was terrible and I'll keep pointing at his Hall Of Fame stats/career when he plays with offenses that have a pulse.

👍💪😝

More like if you asked 100 players, fans or coaches who would they want at Quarterback to direct a game winning TD, the answer unanimously would be Tom Brady. He is clutch always was but watching every Patriot game on TV he actually looked blah. Was it rust, injury, old age or supporting cast of characters? I have to think you can’t get one definitely opinion. Me personally think it was a combination of all four.

Answering that question I want to say YES Tom Brady (Mr. clutch) and the niners would have won the Super Bowl, but I honestly ... who the heck really knows

👍💪😝

Brady carried the offense for years but then couldnt carry it last season because it had no talent?

This just makes no sense. The Pats were 10-4 last season and won their division every season.

So how "clutch" are you without Gronk? How "clutch" are you with an old and hobbled Edelman being your primary wr?

2019 Brady had ZERO Clutch. All he did was add to his records but there were no "clutch performances when "clutch" performances were needed.

HOF Brady will be 43 this season and in football today what matters is the most "RECENT" production and performance; this is how coaches are able to determine where they need to rebuild.

People need to accept the Tom Brady era is over and there are young guns who are more talented and valuable today to a team than Tom Brady.

He needs to learn from all of the QB's before him the Montanas, Favres, Mannings, Mcnabbs etc, just walk away while you are still on top before the game and the business of football exposes you as expendable. Favre almost pulled it off as a rent a QB and Peyton collected his trophy and Budweseir deal with his head high, holding a trophy but zero left in his arm. 😂

Brett Favre's last play was a crushing hit that saw him riding back to the locker-room on a cart.  I wish no injury on any player, but it could happen to Tom Brady, too.

Peyton Manning won a super bowl with the Broncos

Favre was 1 game from the Super Bowl with Minnesota.

How did McNabb get lumped in with Manning, Favre, and Montana? Lol.

Add Favre, Manning Montana and Mcnabbs super bowls together and they equal what 1 Tom Brady has done

Brady has always had talented skill players to help him make those clutch plays. Gronk, wes Welker, Julian Edelman, Randy moss, etc... He can't do anything with the WRs or TEs they had this year.

I bet you can't even name 2 WRs and 1 TE that played in all 16 games with Brady this past season.

An illegal hit, that Greg Williams put a bounty of Favres head and fundamentally changed the way QB hits to the head are officiated and kicked off bountygate that got coaches suspended and rules forever changed.

I think Tom terrific is safe from that type of play.

You missed the obvious, it wasnt SB's they all had in common, it was each experienced a moment at the end of their careers  when they became EXPENDABLE  by their teams and the business of football each with various outcomes but the the facts are  their original teams where they made their names and glory  didnt care about what they did in the past or their bodies suffered from the game when they should have walked away. Also Mcnabb was the face of the Eagles for years and then he wasnt, his team said thanks for the memories,he went to the Redskins and became an afterthought. Now do you get the correlation?🤣

This is the lesson Tom brady should learn, retire before you are exposed on the field or in the front office as EXPENDABLE

Tannehill was indeed historically good. But numbers don't mean as much these days as the passing stats continue to be inflated.

He didn't even make the Pro Bowl. (Until Mahomes couldn't go)

Nope.  Last play of Favre's career was a perfectly legal hit.  That knocked him unconcious for 12-15 seconds.

Lol, it's kinda funny that you think Tom Brady, the greatest QB of all time, cares if NE finds him expendable. Manning, Favre, McNabb, Brady, pretty sure none of them give a crap what the front office thinks, they know it's a business and when your team doesn't have the supporting cast to get you to the super bowl then they will make a justifiable $$$ decision and let you walk. Does not mean he is not still clutch, he is the most clutch QB of a time but what good does being clutch mean when you are throwing passes to Matthew Slater or some other practice squad WRs or TEs?

NE can't afford to pay Brady what he deserves and still buy weapons that he would need so very much like Manning and Favre, he could go to a team with some weapons that afford him a real chance to win another Super Bowl. Tennessee would be 1 of those type of teams. 2 1st round receivers, an excellent slot WR, a blossoming TE, a top 5 OLine and a dominate rushing game and a good defense. That's why Denver went and got Manning and won a super bowl, it's why Minnesota went and got Favre and was 1 game from the superbowl. There is precedent for it being done and Brady is the greatest QB of all time for a reason.

how does a pro bowl equate to not making history if he accomplished things are are noted as historical achievements in the NFL?

Some guys will reach for anything to make an irrelevant point that does not even fit the context of the topic.🤣

I can't, cause it didn't happen, unless you count Slater as a WR, he was also missing his LT(for 10 games) and starting C for the whole season

Tom Brady will get hurt within 4 games without the o-line he had in NE.   He is no better than a low end starter at this point.  He could be a starter as long as there is a stud rookie looking to take over, and he is willing to mentor the rookie.  But, that is not Toms deal, he does not want to help another QB get better.

He has overstayed his welcome. Just retire Tom, you do not need to prove anything, you have the money.  Just go out in style and on your terms.

This is just getting old.
