Until there is a vaccine...I haven’t seen any experts saying social distancing is going to be needed as a permanent solution.

For at least the last 50 yrs we all been told we should carpool to work to reduce the carbon emissions to  the earth. Now we are being told 1 person per 1 car so which is it now?  I do hope Airlines take out the middle seat from all airplanes cause 3-5 people bunched together in a row like that is very unsafe. Also All sports arenas and stadiums, Music venues, and movie theaters need to remove every other seat so that people can practice  proper social distancing while attending a event. Amusement parks also need to take out the snake line bars while waiting in line  which puts a lot of people in close proximate of each other to ride a ride. have each ride be a single file line with 5 ft of space between each person.  People are no longer allowed to gather in large groups anymore for anything ever again.  All Casinos must also take out every other slot machine  on its floor so that people don;t have to sit to close to each other. Also before you touch a video gaming device you must wait for a floor attendant to come by and spray your machine with alcohol. Poker rooms are now no longer allowed to have rooms full of tables with 9 players per table 5 players per table max.   The world will NEVER be the same again .

I bulldozed my neighbors houses.

You think social distancing is going to be permanent? Unlikely. Also I assume next flu season after the pandemic is over might be a lot better because of how many people are now informed on how to be more hygienic and cautious in certain situations.

Not 100%, but pretty sure @Trexpenniebaker is being sarcastic in this post.  Hopefully anyway lmao.

[ Given that coronavirus is killing actual humans and making others' lives miserable, let's not dig up posts just to dunk on people for forecasts that ended up being too rosy.]

We really don't need to dig that far back when people are still making asinine "baseball in May" posts.  A lot of people early on had no idea.  Media and government were saying US shouldn't be concerned.  Many people in the medical field didn't believe it was anything worse than a "bad flu season"  as if it was only killing people who were already on the verge of dying.  Most people have woke up by now, but still so many tin foil cap wearers too.

its not terrible. BUT at that Point the Virus already was in the US. so additional Things should ve been done back then (which didnt happened). look, i dont care who is your president, or your next. it doesnt matter for a "normal" Person in europe. and every democratic  Nation in the end gets the leader they deserve.

im just telling you, that trump did a terrible Job Managing this. two days ago it changed a Little bit. thats all. you dont have to beljeve me, you can still think trump did a great Job or is the only Person who can fix it.

im just giving an outside look. from a perspective that is 10-14 days ahead of you. and trust me, its way better to take this very serious. do more and be carefull now, you will Profit later.

im from Germany. quoting myself from 2 weeks ago. im really in disbelieve how bad of a Job you guys did. sorry, the truth may hurt. your numbers look terrible, i watched the last 2 pressers with trump. terrible. i mean here in Germany its bad. 60k+ cases, over 600 hundred dead. at the Moment we are able to help France and italy by taking Patients in. but we expect it getting worse too.

but america had at least 2 weeks more to prepare. and there are states where People still go to beaches together. thats insane. im basicly in my room the last 2 weeks. everyone i spoke to is in disbelieve of the US numbers and how bad they develop. this is a real TRAGEDY.

Forgive me if this has already been posted and discussed, but why aren’t we giving more attention to this doctor who’s had a 100% recovery rate? Granted it’s “only” 600+ patients, but still, his logic and reasoning behind his “cocktail” makes all the sense in the world! Hydrochloroquine, azithromycin (Z-Pak) and zinc sulfate. Now I’m reading states are denying hydrochloroquine UNLESS it’s in the ER/ICU. But as this doctor states, by then it’s usually too late to administer. Govt officials, Pharm co, it’s a shame people have to die over the $$. For those interested (there’s also his 45min interview which I recommend watching):

Do you know how many healthy young adults and children die from the flu each and every year?  But no one hypes that up.

If the flu was more contagious, had a longer incubation period and higher death rate, I’m guessing it would be more hyped up.

‘Even the invincible aren’t invincible’: HS baseball coach, 30, dies of coronavirus

"He was a healthy, strong, athletic, 30-year-old head coach.”

The particular symptoms of this are going to affect particular people and no doubt people 30 and younger will die. But they will be a pretty small minority in the post-event stats - thankfully.

Most pandemics world history this is the brutal truth.

I read that you have less than 1% chance of dying if you get the Corona (.66%); I know the older population is affected more but man..can we get back to normal within the next month please!

No one knows yet. Part of the problem:

Wuhan residents are increasingly skeptical of the Chinese Communist Party’s reported coronavirus death count of approximately 2,500 deaths in the city to date, with most people believing the actual number is at least 40,000.
