Who would make a fantasy basketball HOF that won’t make the NBA HOF?

This is a topic dear to my heart. Some of these guys have been named already.

Shawn Marion

Andrei Kirilenko

Danny Granger

Josh Smith

Jose Calderon (this guy was GREAT in roto for a few years in the late 2000's)

Rashard Lewis

Rasheed Wallace

Brad Miller

Michael Redd

Gerald Wallace

Edit: Marcus Camby (hat tip to jay14bay)

Edit2: Peja Stojakovic

Great list. But

You left out one that I think especially you will appreciate his greatness.

The man was WAY ahead of his time.

Troy Murphy.

a PF/C that took 3 3s a game, averaged 15.4 pts 10.8 rebs was so valuable during that time. He practically won me many weeks on his own.

There was a game where he made 7 of 8 3pts in a half. I was losing my ish. Not too impressive now I know with everyone and their mother taking 3s. But Murphy Law was ahead of his time.

Richard Jefferson was never elite in fantasy but for 7 solid years he put up great mid round stats averaging 19 points 5.5 rebounds 3 assists 1 stl and 1 three per game on 47% FG and 78% FT

I remember this GOAT. I also remember the Nets acquiring him only for him to be injured like 95% of tbe time and quietly retiring.

They would have to be top 20 in fantasy for multiple years to qualify, imho.

Chris Webber (should be in the real HOF also)

AK-47

Marion (huge, #1-3 overall)

Peja

Brad Miller

Jermaine O'Neal

Agent Zero (loved this guy)

Rasheed Wallace (one of the game-changing stretch 4, ball don't lie)

Amar'e

On the bubble:

Crash

Chauncey Billups

Sam-I-Am

Starbury

Stevie Franchise

KJ

Ibaka due to his OKC years. Three nine-cat first-round finishes in a row with only three games missed over those three years. Not too many players can match that. Plus another top-20 finish and a handful of mid-round years.

Surprised no one mentioned B. Diddy, Baron Davis.

That dude regularly provided 1st round value.

Ah original The Beard. Before Harden stole it.

Injuries were the only reason why he is not going to be in the Hall.

Eddie Jones had 3 top 5 finishes in 9 cat averages, 4 top 20, 5 top 25-50 finishes, and most importantly 1 season as rank #1 (1.78 3s/20.1/4.8/4.2/2.67 steals/0.68 blocks)

Agreed he's been a beast in fantasy, think Kevin Love is on a similar list to Ibaka.

I remember my very first year playing (06-07)....Rashard Lewis had a 2nd round pre draft ranking. I had heard of him but  I didn’t know much about him. But I knew he wasn’t a star and I certainly wasn’t looking at Seattle SuperSonics box scores...

He had a nice run from 03 to 08.

P.S. I ended up taking him with my 2nd round pick that year.

Is D-Howard going to make it to the HOF? His ORL days were too short of a stint?

Well he was a BEAST! No argument about it, the best big man in the league during that period. And probably the last true Center position before everyone start taking 3s.

Orl 8 seasons.

Pts = 18.4
rebs = 13.0

Asts = 1.5

Stls = 1.0

Blks = 2.2
FG% = .577

Of course punting FTs probably put him a 1st rounder.

Check this out, 17 games missed in 8 seasons. ONLY 2 games a season. That is reliability.

The more I look into it...dude is going to the Hall irl isn’t he?

Vince Carter maybe should be in HOF from Toronto days. However By hanging on so many years past his prime, recency bias says not enuff voters will remember him as a starter.
