Ya it's pretty reliable (bucs fan here). I would still hang on to hope....he has made progress. We will find out more tomorrow.

I really hope he progresses and clears the protocol in time.

This is looking like a prime smash spot, playing at home against CAR.

These people on social media talking about his status don't even know what his symptoms were. There's a wide range of things that could have put him in the protocol; for all we know it could have been precautionary because he had a slight headache. One of the worst fantasy trends in recent years have been these "medical experts" trying to make a buck off uninformed conjecture. Get rid of them.

If he has a slight headache he most likely has covid19virus

But how is his sense of smell?

This is positive news at the very least. Looks like a 1 week injury at the most. Still think he's a 60/40 to play but we shall see.

I don’t really see why Christopher Godwin won’t play this week if he is cleared from protocol.

Well, he didn't sniff the end zone last week, so there is definitely reason for concern.

I could be over-analyzing things but there's a chance Arians takes this super cautiously and lists Godwin as doubtful for now because it is better for optics. The NFL has to respect concussions now and a premature clearance of the protocol would look like a rubber stamp almost. Hence why this latest news is a positive indication that he might be able to play. But that's purely from my speculation. I am no doctor :)

If he clears protocol, what would be the reason to NOT let him play?

Only if you have better options IMO. But if he plays, I'm playing him without hesitation.

It's a concussion.  Don't think that's something you can play with and aggravate.

You're either good to go or you're not.  Then you're either fine, or you get another concussion.

But it's not like a strained hamstring or sprained ankle where you try to play on it and make the injury worse.
