Is this a one week thing or potential for more?

I'm not sure that's Z. Taylor's philosophy.

That used to be the case with the old coach.

I wouldn't be surprised if they hold them till after bye week giving him 2 more weeks to heal

Who knows, but I think it's safe to assume based he's out through the bye.

If you own Mixon, you should also already have Gio.  The good news is Gio could better consolidate the rushes and receptions.  We'll see how it plays out.

Any chance that the true nature of the injury is revealed and some sort of time frame for his absence released?

Please and thanks.

Anyone see when it happened? I haven't read reports but should owners prepare for him to be out until after the bye week?

I'd be surprised if more info doesn't come out now that he's been ruled out.

With backup rbs like that I think it is safe to say Gio will take most if not all of the work like he has in the past.

Given how quickly he was ruled out  I think there is a good possibility that he is out until after the bye.

Yeah, the jig is up Taylor. Spill the beans so we can plan accordingly.

As a Mixon owner, I don't own Gio. And even if I did, I wouldn't play him over the other guys on my bench that I can pivot to in my 12-teamer.

This falls in line with the theory they couldn’t properly diagnose the injury earlier in the week due to swelling.

Not a big deal since he was seen dancing yesterday. Probably just resting him. Still, maybe he should be told to not dance when injured. Since they are near the basement in the standings, I am sure it is no reason to rush their star RB on the field since he just inked a new deal.

Still doesn't make sense as he reportedly was dancing on the sidelines at practice. If it's not a multi-week injury why did they rule him out on Friday =/= If it's potentially serious why is he dancing on the sidelines at practice.

I would imagine they will take their time bringing him back.  It's not like this team is going anywhere this year.

Perhaps the injury is one that simply need rest. They evaluated it day by day and felt he wouldn't be ready in time for Sunday.

Unless this is pure gamesmanship, it doesn't necessarily mean out through the bye but I suspect more likely than not just to ensure he is right... see ya in week 10.
