Damn. You got it like that huh. I don’t think I know 1 surgeon, let alone multiples. What the heck are you doing here with us peasants.

And F Sean Payton for having him out there when the game was decided and all the other backups were in.

How it started: How it’s going:

If he plays I’m sure he’ll be a decoy. Being a WR with a high ankle sprain is a lot better than a RB like Barkley last year. I hope he sits this week out though. He’s not going to be juking anybody out there with his injury.

Im preparing this as an 3 week injury. see u week 5

Which means if the Saints have a good record, he probably doesn’t play until Week 6.  With the bye week being 5.

Can he still do the same things as he has been doing for many years once he returns or will this linger throughout the season?

Could go either way.  If he rests until Week 6, there’s a decent chance he’s close to 100%.  But impossible to know today.

my week 1 worries are no more. this game showed me that the saints miss MT

This.

MT isn’t going anywhere. He’s going to be heavily involved once he comes back. And given the news we’ve gotten about his injury, I wouldn’t rule out a return next weekend.

Yes, being a Decoy should help the Saints win next week...

High ankle sprains come in all types of severities. His looked very mild in nature, and I’ve spoken to orthopedic surgeon friends of mine who have confirmed this.

honestly feel if he plays, it won’t be as a decoy.

As they should...a significant amount of cap is tied up in him.

Like when any high-cap players go down...rest of the team will suffer dramatically. NFL is razor thin on the margins- players are almost equivalent to each other aside from those few high earners....guts your depth when you pay up.

He might be heavily involved but...Drew Brees might just suck now. I'm reaching the point where I'm more concerned about his QB than I am about the game plan.

Brees made MT the greatest fantasy WR of all time less than a year ago. I doubt Brees has deteriorated that much over the course of a few months.

Why does Brees get all the credit? 🤔

My fault. I worded that poorly. MT was the greatest fantasy WR of all time with Brees. I meant that MT will still be fine, not that it was due to Brees.

He also made Teddy Bridgewater look good too!

Maybe. Feels like Peyton went from "pretty good" to "oh my god is he injured no he's just spent" in one offseason. I might be mis-remembering that though.

No, that's fair. Manning fell of a cliff fast.

On the other hand, even in his final year (with Brock O making several starts too), the Broncos still had 2 1000 yard WRs.

If you can buy Michael Thomas at any discount right now, go do it.
