SharkSwimmer 4,800
WFT does have a REALLY nice D-line. And Lane Johnson was out. And the Eagles lost. So I expect better games ahead for Raegor.

Give him another week or two before cutting bait & playing the waivers.
mdw5048 581
You drafted Jalen Reagor, a rookie WR, for the boom he can provide you this year... and you wanna cut bait after the FIRST GAME of his career. Lol, never change Rotoworld forums. 5

Because those are the two guys I am staring down this week on the waiver wire, and to be honest I might have both of them over Reagor.

The counterargument may be more about Reagor as a dynasty asset. This catch he made yesterday, he’s lined up in the z-slot, which is where he ran the vast majority of his routes at TCU. A simple vertical vs off coverage. The CB (Darby) has excellent short zone help, which is where he needed to get on his horse but he doesn’t do it. He doesn’t turn & run until Reagor is essentially past him. He also has inside help in the intermediate/deep zone but doesn’t make use of it. But really, like Darby, the Safety isn’t defending anything, he’s just watching too. That’s defense, the people in the back. Among evaluators is that Reagor’s catch radius & ball skills are inconsistent. On this one, doesn’t climb to get it, let’s it drop all the way into the bunny basket. I’ve seen him extend & clutch the ball & looked the part, but he might not be comfortable in contested situations. Did add mass & if he does more of that, perhaps he could be a guy that can fight & win the 50/50s. My points earlier is that when drafting, target hogs are more likely to be big honking dudes. Jeffrey, what(?), Whiteside, complete smoke I guess. They’re only rumors, but Allen Robinson would be a huge add for Philly.
Tomei7 591
Dropped him for Parris Campbell, I believe I did the right move. Parris is gonna eat very gd this yr, where I just feel Reagor will be the Marquise Brown of last yr, not enough consistency but we shall see.

Lol, never change Rotoworld forums. I think it was context as I play with 5 bench slots and he is the first to go on my roster. It is deep. Every add drop decision requires context as well as their roster needs and bench spots / team size. Nothing is as black and white as to keeping a player or cutting a player. My reasoning above was sound. However, I have chosen to keep him until Sunday when I need a kicker. 2

Please go back and watch the highlight - it's an over the shoulder basket catch, there's no other way to catch that. What do you want him to do to "climb to get it" - jump and do a 180 in midair? It's actually very impressive how he tracks the ball from his left side, over the shoulder/head, and makes the catch near the right-middle of his body. That's not easy to do. I realize I'm nitpicking a bit and you can blame the defense for making a poor play (actually Wentz does a great look off/pump fake to freeze the defense over the top) but don't knock the catch. It was nice and this guy's a true deep ball specialist. FWIW - I do agree with you that it's hard to see him becoming a target hog, especially year 1. 3

But that & his next step taking himself to the ground is what allowed Darby to get back into the play. On a better defended play the DB will often elevate over the WR to break up the reception. As for the play situation itself, it was a 3rd & 22! Philly had a 3-wr bunch to the weak side & Wentz initially does look that way, the pump fake rather subtle. But the Safety to Reagor’s side has no responsibility to the far side of the field... I’m sorry but unless vs air is a measure to consider this play tells us nothing, apart from Reagor’s speed. LongBalls 1,193
Major concerns with the o-line and Wentz. Given Reagor will be in a shoulder brace all year, and could easily require surgery if he lands on it the wrong way, I wouldn't blame anybody for cutting bait. It's not like the guy is healthy and the o-line looked God awful.

It's not like the guy is healthy and the o-line looked God awful. He had the air yards, but not the targets. He was getting bombs all day, but this makes for extremely boom or bust this year when Goedert Ertz Jackson and even Ward / Sanders are soaking up the opportunity and usage. Until he's 8-10 targets a game, I think he's waiver fodder.

With the team mostly healthy, I doubt he reaches anywhere near 8 targets consistently. Should hover around 6 targets + - Boom/Bust WR3-4 However only Week1 & he's a rookie, no where to go but up. UFGator 90
How do we feel about this guy? I know the TE's are the ones to own in Philly but I like the deep threat here. He was on the field a lot this past weekend but I didn't get to see the game.

Lead the eagles receivers in snap count and is trending up imo. And once Desean gets injured he should see a couple extra targets. He's a strong hold for me

What these guys said. Depends on league size, I guess, but in a 12 or 14-team league, I think he's a must-hold unless you're stacked at WR.

RunCMC 2,351
Snap %'s are good. Still needs time to blossom tho. Unless DJax goes down and he get's force fed targets. Patience is needed with this cat.
