Gandalfthecat 864
"Lone bright spot" would probably be too strong, but if this team has any chance of winning a game it's by giving it to Harris a LOT.

Those runs in the fourth quarter were pretty damn strong lol
Moveless 87
He is a good runner on a bad team.
harck 478
I think his fantasy stock only goes up from here. He's obviously not a league winner, but a decent bench RB that can fill in as a flex if people get injured. Looking more and more likely Pats go into rebuild mode and they lean on Harris a bit more. I'd also expect him to get more work in the passing game as the season goes forward.

I agree on all counts! he was dropped in my league before yesterday's game and now I'm debating how much FAAB to drop on a valuable bench guy like this!

He looked good out there and the Niners have a solid front 7.
TTo34 2,948
If Scam Newton could actually stop sucking, we might be able to actually see what this guy can do.

Exactly. Defense and running game. Harris has the chance to be fed a ton. No way they can trust Cam at least at this point.
Olliemets 471
I'm starting with relative confidence next week as long as Sony isn't back (Mixon hurt + Robinson Bye). Bills have been pretty bad against RB's far over the past month.. held Henry relatively in check but gave up 2 TD's, CEH and Henderson both trounced them, and they made Gore look like he was 25 yesterday (11 for 60). Also, as bad as the offense has been, you'd have to think BB/McDaniels try to change things around a bit. Letting Cam drop back and make decisions is clearly not working, I have a feeling they'll pound the rock and try to control clock next week.
Gandalfthecat 864
Supposed to be rough weather in Barfalo this weekend. A true breakout game is a possibility. What else are the pats going to do except try to keep Allen off the field by pounding the rock?
MingusDew 407
It would be great if this guy could end up being a reliable FLEX play down the stretch. You have to think that BB is looking to shake up this offense right now. Maybe that means more DH. This weekend will be telling. If there's a significant uptick in usage then I think we've got something.

Flyman75 4,854
Hoping for a big game out of Harris this weekend. He looks good when he gets a shot, and it’s getting close to the time for NE to see what they have in him. Give him an opportunity to show whether he’s a three-down type back or not. harck 478
I'm still waitin on the Pats to start giving him pass plays. He looked great on that screen last week. In training camp, the ravings were around his pass catching ability. Hope they get creative with this guy going forward and he starts to become a focal point of the offense. Last week was very re-assuring, he looked great with his limited touches.
ThunderDan 155
I've got a good feeling this week. BUF can be had on the ground, and hoodie knows what his biggest offensive weapon is in a must win game.

Prezkot 496
I feel like I'm holding him for a make or break Week 9 vs. the Jets. I don't feel confident in starting him vs. Buffalo this week despite a nice matchup, but with the showing Cam had vs. SF (and Denver) and the injuries to the Patriots already awful WR core, this is the week Bill either commits to Damien enough to make him appealing against the Jets next week, or for me to accept that he's just another risky Patriots RB that can be safely dropped after a cake opponent. If Bill does shape the offense to flow through Harris & Newton in the run game to save face this season (and at this point with Cam & Stidham's passing flaws he should), the Pats have a friendly Week 15-16 schedule with Miami and Buffalo meaning weaker than average run defenses. owenmills 5,326
I feel Harris is one of those guys I'll look at on my bench in week 13 wondering wtf I held him all season. I have a strong inclination to cut his a** very soon if something doesn't change
pdizzle710 523
My feeling with Harris is the moment I drop him, if I do, he has a blow up game. At this point, the only thing holding him back is the lack of commitment to him as a full time banger.

Moveless 87
He could be a below flex value guy rest of season tbh. I want to believe this is real and own him in 2 of 3 leagues, but the Pats offense looks pretty broken and he hasn't risen above the committee yet. I would hold though because a lot can change over the next month and he could find himself in a much better situation. If anything happens to rex burkhead, James White, if The Pats turn it on in the second half of the season, or if they tank and give the young guys like Harris a lot more run. I don't think he has a road to be a RB1 this year but I think hes a lotto ticket to be an alright RB2 type guy by the playoffs if a few things can break right for him. TTo34 2,948
We'll know very shortly what we have in Damien. If he doesn't get it done against the Jets next week, I'd be ready to move on then. I still believe he has the talent to succeed... Scam is just holding him back.

I may even start him against the Jets depending on his usage this week.
TheBoondocks 412
[...] I'm gonna roll with Damien because of a gut feeling I have on his usage. Bills really leak badly with the run, and it's not like Cam can be the entire rushing offence as that's not sustainable long-term. Michel is done and dusted, Burkhead sucks, and White is hobbled. It's Damien time now or never imo. This sophomore season is crucial for him to stake his spot in the team, much like it is for the fading Harry.
