If i was a player I'd forget about Houston players at this point and want a piece of those original core Marlins and Cards players instead.

Well you are not. You can rest assure more players are pissed at the Astros than a few idiots that didn’t take Covid seriously. Damn the Astros blatantly cheated and won a World Series cheating.

Which one costs them more money?

Money for nothing chicks for free. Have to wonder how many players actually thought they would finish the season. With everything that is happening all over the USA. You do know that getting to one city to another obstacles are there. One wrong move can infect others. I’m sure hope we are able to understand

Just ridiculous MLB needs to start handing down heavy fines. These dumb players complained constantly to have a longer season, Yet these idiots can’t follow basic protocol. NHL, NBA, MMA, PGA can figure it out, but MLB players selfishly only care about strip clubs, casinos, and partying. If Manfred cancels the season the entire blame is on the players, and may hurt baseball for many years to come.

Not really. They should have never had the latitude to make choices like this.

Not at all likely.  Those few idiots are on the brink of ending baseball for ALL players until at least April of next year.  You know how very much a ball player wants to play ball?  To protect thei long term careers from after effects and to protect their family at home from covid?  Those are far more important things than some cheating scandal that is in the past and over especially when half the teams in the league had similar accusations made against them.  Your ability to play without long term effects cutting your career short, your love to play the game itself after such a long wait at home and, most of all, the health of your love ones, all out weigh a ring your team would not have won anyway if all the teams played fair and square.

The Astros probably could have won without trash can banging in a few games.  Even if they couldn't only the Dodgers and perhaps the Yankees were ever done dirty by same.  And ther e is strong evidence on the side the Yankees stole signs too and even some rumors the Dodgers did.  But even if those two teams were actually completely honest and the Astros actually stole signs in ALL their games and not just a few; so what?  As a player you still have your career.  You still have the game you love to play.  Which, I may add, MAY include games against the Astros for those retards who want to play the stupid 4-year old games of "revenge" by throwing balls at players heads.  But now you won't even have that if the season is cancelled unless your name was Joe Stupid Kelly.  (Joe, your mom never teach you that two wrongs don't make a right you freaking idiot).

I don't think it's that he believes that but more so he's greedy and doesn't give a f about player safety. Check Bauer's tweet, less games, less player salaries, more tv revenue, more playoff revenue Manfred and the owners are laughing. On phone or I would link it. His 3 other tweets from today about them postponing his start 8 minutes before the game was supposed to after he already warmed up to be ready is unheard of. Check his series of tweets, better then me rambling on. Ive heard of player coaches, Trev should become the first player commissioner.

I am curious how the Marlins players managed to stay Covid free up to this point if they had such low regard for social distancing etc

Thanks.  Nice joke.  That was my good laugh of the day.  After all it is only more than half their team that are out.

Meanwhile, covid remains no joke:

Quote

Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom announced Saturday that Eduardo Rodriguez (heart) has been shut down for the remainder of the 2020 season.

While Rodriguez is expected to make a full recovery from myocarditis, the club doesn't believe that he'll have enough time to recover before the end of the 2020 season. The good news though, is that his heart is functioning normally. He's expected to be ready to go for the start of the 2021 season. While not completely unexpected, it's another blow to a Red Sox' rotation that is in shambles at the moment.

Bauer's rant whines about the commish blaming the players.  Hmmmm.  I must have missed the memo MLB sent out ordering the Marlins players to go to a strip club and the memo to the Cards players telling them they must go out to a casino.

I wish MLBPA & MLB would suspend without pay all of the guilty players for the rest of the season, just to send a message.

If you can reasonably show they were reckless with their behavior, I'm all for this. But some people do take reasonable precautions and still draw the short straw. I'm not sure how easy a line that would be to draw.

You got that right.

Go suck a fat one, Ohtani!  What is this INF in the ERA and WHIP fields.  Don’t need it.
